Looking for how to find and catch Tombat? This special Pal is a huge asset to your team and can help you catch other Pals. But, you have to find them first.

Pals in the Palworld Paldeck have differing abilities that could help you progress in the game. While some assist you in mining and dropping rare items, one specific Pal helps you find other Pals to capture. This is Tombat, a flying cat-bat Pal that lurks inside caves in the daylight and dominates the sky at night. Today, we’ll show you exactly how you can get yourself a Tombat as well.

Where To Find Tombat in Palworld

The best places to find Tombat are between the Plateau of Beginnings and the Grassy Behemoth Hills, Marsh Island, Ice Wind Island, the Forgotten Island, and the Eastern Wild Island.

Since Tombat is part-bat, you can commonly find it between the Plateau of Beginnings and the Grassy Behemoth Hills at nighttime. If you’re out looking for him in the day, your best bet would be the Isolated Island Caverns near Sea Breeze Archipelago. Remember this when you go out looking for your own Tombat.

In case you don’t see him flying above you immediately, scout around the area a bit. Otherwise, you could always leave and come back later to get your hands on one.

How To Catch Tombat in Palworld

Tombat is simple to capture. Just lower its health as much as you can without killing it and then throw a Pal Sphere at it. If you have successfully captured Tombat, the indicator on top of the Pal Sphere will show 100%. If you haven’t been able to capture it smoothly, it will be released and you can try again.

Make sure you don’t kill it though as you can’t capture a Pal if it’s dead. Leave a sliver of health on the Tombat you’re about to capture so it doesn’t waste your efforts.

What Items Does Tombat Drop?

Tombat drops a Small Pal Soul and Leather on being defeated. Both of these things are important, especially the Small Pal Soul. Once you get your Statue of Power ready, you’ll need to power it up with Pal Souls before you can send a Pal in to get enhanced. Enhancing a Pal increases one of their base attributes like maximum health, attack, defense, or work speed.

Leather is also important since it is included in the majority of crafting recipes in Palworld. So if you want to get ahead of the curve in this game, gathering leather will help you make your way through the game.

What Are Tombat’s Weaknesses?

Tombat is a Dark-type Pal so it is weak against Dragon-type Pals. When you’re going out to capture a Tombat, you should always take a Dragon-type Pal, like Jetragon or Chillet, along with you to make the battle easier.

Tombat Strengths

Because Tombat is a Dark-type, it is strong against Neutral-type Pals like Vixy, Cattiva, and Direhowl. Don’t use this type of Pal to take on Tombat because you’ll be at a disadvantage.

That’s everything you need to know about finding and catching Tombat in Palworld. Be sure to check out the fastest mounts in Palworld and the max level in Palworld if you can’t get enough of the open-world survival game.
