Want the best WSP Swarm loadout in MW3?

SMGs are a great option in MW3 thanks to the flexibility they offer. While they might not pack the same heat as an assault rifle, they make up for it with their high fire rate and lethal close-range capabilities.

If you want to test other SMGs out, we’ve got guides for the best AMR9 loadout and the best Striker loadout in MW3 as well. If you’re coming back from last year’s Modern Warfare 2, your weapon XP will also carry over. And if that’s not enough, check our Modern Warfare 3 review to learn more about its many modes. Now that Season 2 is live, check out the MW3 battle pass.

Best WSP Swarm loadout and attachments in MW3

If you’re looking for a solid WSP Swarm loadout with the right attachments in MW3, here you go:

  • Barrel: WSP Reckless-90 Long
  • Muzzle: Shadowstrike Suppressor
  • Rear Grip: WSP Hark Rubber Grip
  • Stock: FSS Rampage-VII Tactical
  • Optic: Slate Reflector

We’re starting off our loadout with the WSP Reckless-90 Long barrel to sustain medium-range engagements. This minimizes the damage falloff at this range. As for the rear grip, opt for the WSP Hark Rubber Grip for enhanced Flinch Resistance and Aiming Idle Sway.

While you do drop down in the aim walking speed department, strafing kills in MW3 aren’t a must-have with this SMG. As for the FSS Rampage-VII Tactical, it boosts Aim Down Sight Speed, Aiming Idle Sway, and recoil control. This goes well with our rear grip, boosting the same stats for a stream of concentrated fire. You could also consider the FSS Fortress Heavy Stock which helps with recoil control while reducing ADS and sprint-to-fire speed.

Opt for the Shadowstrike Suppressor if you prefer to lurk in the shadows. This is great for run-and-gun tactics as well when you flank enemy positions thanks to its enhanced bullet velocity and lower recoil. While the optic doesn’t make a world of difference, the Slate Reflector doesn’t get in your way and is a good pick for close to medium-range shootouts. Just try not to spray from a distance as an SMG’s spread is usually worse than an assault rifle’s.

Best WSP Swarm loadout for MW3 Zombies

If you want a solid loadout to tackle Zombies, here’s the WSP Swarm loadout for you in MW3:

  • Muzzle: Xten Black Kite
  • Laser: Verdant Hook Cylindrical Laser
  • Magazine: 100 Round Drum
  • Rear Grip: WSP TAC-20 Grip
  • After Market: WSP Akimbo Brace Stock

The WSP Akimbo Brace Stock drops mobility significantly, beating the point of a traditional SMG. But the absolutely massive ramp-up in the rate of fire is worth this tradeoff. With the sprint-to-fire speed buff from the WSP Tac-20 Grip and the Verdant Hook Cylindrical Laser, you should be able to quickly cull enemy hordes. Pack-A-Punch the weapon and the 100-Round Drum lets you carry 200 bullets in a clip.

Don’t attempt long-range fights with an SMG

While you can suppress enemy forces from afar with stray shots, you’ll be outmatched by a sniper or an assault rifle gunman at range. Use your mobility to flank them instead.

Best WSP Swarm perks and equipment in MW3

Here’s a handy list of the equipment to pack alongside the WSP Swarm SMG in MW3:

  • Vest: Demolition
  • Gloves: Scavenger
  • Boots: Covert Sneakers
  • Gear: Ghost T/V Camo
  • Lethal: Frag Grenade
  • Tactical: Stun Grenade
  • Field Equipment: Trophy System

Resupplying Lethal and Tactical equipment is perfect for a run-and-gun playstyle. And that’s exactly what you get with the Demolition Vest. The Infantry Vest from our best MW3 vests is another good option. And to enhance your survival, Scavenger Gloves lets you pick up ammo from foes to keep the bullets going.

MW3 Covert Sneakers eliminate the sound of footsteps, making you a menace with your silenced weapon. The Lightweight Boots are another good pick. The Ghost T/V Camo leans into this stealth approach by making you immune to being pinged on the enemy mini-map by UAVs and other equipment. EOD Padding is a good option if you want to protect yourself from explosives.

As for the Lethal, Tactical, and Field Equipment options, it depends on what you’ve grown accustomed to. The trusty Frag and Stun grenade combination is great for me as I like surprising enemies as I flank them. Frag grenades force enemies to reposition, making for easy pickings if they have sniper rifles with them. As for protection from throwable items, opt for the Trophy System.

Is the WSP Swarm worth it in MW3

As someone who leans towards assault rifles, it took a while to get used to the WSP Swarm’s lower damage. But once I kitted it with the right attachments, I was able to go all over the map and surprise enemies. The WSP Swarm is on our best SMGs list in MW3 for a reason. But there are other alternatives like the Striker and Rival-9 that pack in more damage while being mobile.
