An aviary curiosity of the wizarding world, the Jobberknoll is known as a silent speckled bluebird that only chirps when it dies. In Hogwarts Legacy, the Jobberknoll is a valuable source of Jobberknoll Feathers, a material needed to upgrade gear at the Enchanted Loom.
As the Jobberknoll can fly, the beast can be a tad challenging to tame. In this guide, we’ll outline the best way to get a Jobberknoll in Hogwarts Legacy.

How to Find a Jobberknoll
You’ll find the Jobberknoll at Jobberknoll Dens peppered throughout The Highlands in Hogwarts Legacy. They show up on the map as animal paw icons, but confusingly, that very same paw print symbol is used for all types of animal dens – Puffskein, Thestral, Unicorn, Mooncalf, and so on.
To save you from trawling the map yourself, you’ll find the closest Jobberknoll den to Hogwarts in the image above. The den is located south of Hogwarts and west of Irondale. The easiest way to get there is to fast travel to the Irondale Floo Flame and fly to the den from there.
How to Get a Jobberknoll in Hogwarts Legacy
Before trying to capture a Jobberknoll, we highly recommend preparing a spell set with Accio/Levioso/Arresto Momentum, the Nab-Sack, and the Disillusionment spell.
Cast the Disillusionment spell as you approach the den to avoid scaring off the beasts. Once you’re in targeting range of a Jobberknoll, cast an immobilizing spell or two like Accio, Levioso, or Arresto Momentum to keep them from flying off. After that, immediately cast the Nab-Sack spell.
Cycle through the two button prompts that appear on the screen (Square on PS5). If everything goes well, you’ll capture the Jobberknoll. You can then set it loose in a vivarium. Or, alternatively, sell it for 120 Gallons at the Brood and Peck in Hogsmeade.
