Medals can be used in the free and paid reward passes for weapons, gear, and actions in Helldivers 2. These are the Helldivers Mobilise and Steeled Veteran Warbonds. The new premium Cutting Edge Warbond will require Medals too. While these are primarily earned by finishing missions, there are other means of getting them as well. Clear daily Personal Orders

These challenges can be found by pressing the Z key on PC or pressing Escape to see the Settings. Finishing one of these can reward you with a whopping 15 Medals. Break open containers and hidden bunkers

While some loot can be obtained directly, you’ll need some firepower to break a container. These feature doors with a blue outline and shining keypads. Consider a support weapon like the Recoilless Rifle or a stratagem like an Orbital Strike. As for the bunker, you will need an ally to press the second yellow button at the same time as your character presses the first one. These vaults off the beaten path can provide weapons, Medals, Super Credits, and even Requisition points for ship modules.

You won’t get Medals if you repeat the same missions in an operation. So try to pick new missions whenever you play Helldivers 2. These are reset each day.
