Hearthstone Whizbang’s Workshop guide, card list, and release date

It’s time for another expansion in Hearthstone, with Whizbang’s Workshop the latest to hit the tavern! Celebrating 10 years of the game, there will be familiar faces and throwbacks to past mechanics in the latest card set.

Whizbang’s Workshop Guide

Whizbang’s Workshop is the latest expansion in Hearthstone. Themed around the genius inventor and toymaker, Miniatures and nostalgia are key concepts for the release.

With the Year of Pegasus celebrating 10 years of Hearthstone, Whizbang’s Workshop is the first of three expansions joining the game. Due to the 10-year anniversary, expect to see some familiar faces and new takes on mechanics from Hearthstone’s past.

The key aspects of the release are as follows:

New Keyword/Mechanic – Miniaturize

The new keyword introduced for Whizbang’s Workshop is Miniaturize. It is a simple concept but could prove to be very effective.

When you play a card with Miniaturize, you will gain a 1-mana 1/1 copy of it in your hand. This copy will have the same effect as the played card, except with the Mini keyword, rather than Miniaturize, so you can’t gain endless copies.

Zilliax Deluxe 3000

Legendary minion Zilliax Deluxe 3000 allows you to make a customised card during the deck-building stage. Add Zilliax to your deck, then pick from two of the eight Zilliax Modules to combine their costs, stats, and effects into your ideal Zilliax, and finish it off with your desired cosmetic. 

There are 28 possible combinations to create, suiting various different deck types and strategies. This makes Zilliax Deluxe 3000 a very flexible Legendary to include in your deck.

Free Legendary Card – Colifero the Artist

To celebrate the latest expansion, the new Legendary minion Colifero the Artist will be gifted to everyone’s account. The Neutral card has a Battlecry effect that will draw a minion, and then transform all other friendly minions into copies of it!

To gain the card, all you have to do is log in after Patch 29.6. It will be granted upon opening your first Whizbang’s Workshop pack, rather than on login.

The Whizbang’s Workshop expansion in Hearthstone will introduce 145 new cards to the game. Each class will gain 10 new cards, with 35 added to the Neutral set.

The release date for Whizbang’s Workshop in Hearthstone is March 19. We expect it to go live at 1pm ET / 6pm GMT.

At this point, the new card set will become available in-game. You will also be able to open all of your pre-purchased packs.
