And remember to keep track of your Diablo 4 vampiric pact armour to use them. Check out our Diablo 4 Season 2 release date guide for more details. To hit the ground running, take a note of the Diablo 4 Season 2 start time. And with that, let’s take a look at the bosses.

Diablo 4 Season 2 endgame bosses list

Diablo 4’s Season of Blood lets you fight five new threats: Grigoire, Echo of Varshan, The Beast in the Ice, Lord Zir, and Echo of Duriel. While you may have fought Varshan and his Echo in Season of the Malignant, the new Season changes how to get to this monster. Last time, you needed an Invoker of Varshan. The new bosses require you to perform tasks to get similar items in order to face them.

Some of them can only be fought in World Tier 4 difficulty, meaning that your first priority should be clearing the Diablo 4 Capstone Dungeon. This lets you change the Diablo 4 World Tier difficulty. Read on to learn how to summon and vanquish these endgame bosses.

Grigoire, the Galvanic Saint

Grigoire is a new endgame boss encountered in World Tier 3 and 4. You can fight him by getting Living Steel from Tortured Offerings during Diablo 4 Helltides. And don’t worry, they’ve been reworked to happen more frequently. Beating Grigoire will give you a shot at specific unique items and the Demonbinder Mount Armor Cosmetic.

Echo of Varshan

While this name might ring a bell, don’t expect any of Season 1’s Invoker business. To summon Echo of Varshan in Season 2, you must first be at World Tier 3 or 4. Then, fight Grotesque Debtors while working on Diablo 4 Whispers of the Dead quests. This gives you a chance to get parts of Varshan’s body. Turning in Grim Favors guarantees one of these parts. Note that on World Tier 4, you can also get a Malignant Heart to summon Varshan. Note that this is different from the old Malignant Hearts mechanic of Season 1. In addition to specific uniques, beating the Echo of Varshan can net you the Flesh-Weld Rod Trophy.

The Beast in the Ice

This gruesome foe can only be summoned in World Tier 4 difficulty. You need to gather Distilled Fear, a resource dropped from Tier 30 or higher Nightmare Dungeons. Here’s how to approach Diablo 4 Nightmare Dungeons. Things have changed from Season 1, especially for modifiers like Backstabbers, Critical Resist, Death Pulse, Lighting Storm, and Drifting Shade. Once you have enough of the material, head to an Occultist and craft the Glacial Fissure Nightmare Sigil. This lets you fight The Beast in the Ice. Win and you can get the Skull Torch and Fell Steed Mount Trophies. You can also get some uniques specific to this endgame boss fight.

Lord Zir, Dark Master

This fight is also only possible on World Tier 4. While you will most likely be able to fight Lord Zir as a part of the new seasonal storyline, expect a more powerful threat for the endgame boss. You won’t have Diablo 4 Erys helping out either. Exquisite Blood from Legion events and defeating World Bosses will let you summon the Dark Master in Diablo 4. In addition to the specific uniques, you get a chance at The Diadem of the Ancient Helm Cosmetic.

Echo of Duriel

While players will remember Duriel from the main campaign, expect this one to be even more of a nightmare. You’ll need to defeat Grigoire, The Galvanic Saint, and Varshan in World Tier 4 for this one. Doing so lets you collect Mucus-Slick Eggs and Shards of Agony. Fighting these bosses itself takes loads of resources so expect this to take a while. Once you have enough, you’ll be able to summon the Lord of Pain. Win and you’ll get a chance at Diablo 4’s uber uniques. You can also get The Smoldering Brimstone Mount.

That covers all the endgame bosses in Diablo 4 Season 2. Use these fights to build up an arsenal of Diablo 4 unique weapons. This will let you optimize your build and deal absurd amounts of damage to enemy mobs and bosses. We had a lot to say in our Diablo 4 review and we hope Season of Blood builds on its strengths.

Personally, I’m glad our inventory space won’t be filled by Diablo 4 gems anymore as they’re now a crafting material. Blizzard has worked their magic in Sanctuary once more and I can’t wait to see what the new fight has in store for players. The second season is out on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 (PS5).
