Where to find the Barlow Lens in Alone in the Dark

The Barlow Lens is located in Jeremy’s steamer trunk in Jeremy Hartwood’s Room on the Second Floor of Derceto. However, to get inside the trunk, you’ll need the Luggage Key, which is given to Carnby automatically after completing the Lafayette Cemetery memory section of Chapter 2.

After speaking to Jeremy in the Chapel, you’ll jump back to Derceto and have the key added automatically to your inventory. From there, head to Jeremy’s Room, which is two doors down from where you spawn in Perosi’s Room. Interact with the chest on the left side of the room and you’ll get the Barlow Lens.

How to use the Barlow Lens in Alone in the Dark

To use the Barlow Lens in Alone in the Dark, interact with the telescope positioned next to the window in the Drawing Room on the First Floor of Derceto, it’s just off to the left from the Small Parlor, Library, and Conservatory.

Finding answers in the stars, as the objective puts it, can be a little unintuitive. The trick is to zoom in until you can clearly see the red, green, and blue stars, then zoom out quickly and move the telescope to the right until you see a big white dot. Move around until it grows brighter and you’ll progress forward.
