Once you reach Miss Jackson’s seance parlor, you’re presented with a talisman made up of three rotating discs. To solve the puzzle, you’ll need to align these discs in just the right way.

How to solve the Alone in the Dark talisman puzzle

To solve the Alone in the Dark talisman puzzle, you’ll need to line up the numbers on each of the discs to 358, starting from the larger outer disc and working your way to the smallest inner disc.

To find the answer to the puzzle, and as prompted by Detective Carnby, look at the last page of Jeremy’s notes in The Commonplace Book in your inventory. Press View to check out the page up close where you’ll see a drawing of the talisman in the top left with three numbers circled in red – 358.

Return to the talisman. Rotate the outer disc to line up the number 3 with the dial at the top. Do the same for the middle circle, turning it to 5, then again for the largest circle, turning it to 8. You can jump between discs using the up and down buttons on the D-pad. Line the discs up correctly and you’ll unlock the door at the back of the parlor, allowing you to progress forward.
