New Valorant Agent 27 release date, leaks and what we know so far

Valorant has introduced a couple of great new playable characters to its roster this year. It started with Clove in Episode 8, and then we were recently treated to the arrival of Vyse in Episode 9. Now we are set to get another combatant very soon, and here you will find everything we know so far including the new Valorant Agent 27 release date and leaks pertaining to their abilities and more.

Clove was released as part of mid-season for Episode 8 Act 2, meanwhile, Vyse was introduced in Episode 9 Act 2. It has been an excellent year from Riot Games as they finally brought their multiplayer shooter to consoles, but fans have a lot more to anticipate for the future. There are plans to transition the game from UE4 to Unreal Engine 5, and leaks have revealed a new feature currently in-development.

Riot has a lot of exciting plans for Valorant in 2025, and the good news is that the new year should kickstart with the release of Agent 27.

Valorant Agent 27 release date

Agent 27 will join Valorant in Episode 10 Act 1. The release date for the beginning of Episode 10 is January 7th/8th depending on your region. This is according to the in-game countdown signalling the end of the Episode 9 Act 3 battle pass.

It’s possible delays could occur, but this is when Episode 10 Act 1 is currently scheduled to start. Before the new year and Episode 10 both arrive, we are still set to receive patch 9.11. This will be released very soon, and Riot has confirmed it contains nerfs for an overpowered character.

Valorant agent 27 leaks

According to ValorLeaks, Agent 27 is an Initiator. This means they share the same class as the following characters:

• Sova
• Breache
• Skye
• KAYE/O
• Fade
• Gekko

In addition, ValorLeaks has also revealed that they are Colombian. Unfortunately, this is all that has leaked so far, but ValorLeaks has said they are “pretty cool”.

Teaser

On the official Valorant X account, Riot Games has shared a teaser for the upcoming playable character. Alas, it doesn’t show much aside from them enjoying a hot drink before putting on a pair of shades and skydiving out of a plane.

There are probably contextual clues included in the teaser that will make sense once the character is fully revealed, but right now it’s all speculative. The glasses could be relevant to the agent’s abilities, or they could simply be part of their cool design. Either way, we we don’t have too long to wait and find out as Episode 10 is just a month away.
