Valorant, much like any other multiplayer FPS title, requires players to team up with other individuals in order to defeat the opposing group. However, this popular Riot Games entry also enables users to create a party with their friends.

This feature enables those that are just starting out to get familiarized with the game in a more relaxed environment. But in order to make use of this mechanic, you’ll need to start adding your friends first. If you want to find out how you can do so, then we’ve covered all you’ll need to know below.

How do you add friends in Valorant?

To add friends in Valorant, simply launch the game and head to the home screen. Once there, highlight the sidebar on the right and expand it by clicking on it. Next, navigate to the bottom portion of the sidebar and select the icon with a plus sign on it. Finally, simply enter your friend’s Riot ID and Tagline and click the plus button beside the fields to add them.

Keep in mind that you’ll need to enter your friends username separately on the Riot ID field. You will then have to input the string of numbers next to their username on the Tagline field.

If you want your friend to add you instead but are having trouble locating the necessary information, simply expand the right-hand sidebar again and click on your username found at the upper portion of it. This will display a small window that shows your in-game name next to a string of four numbers along with your current rank.

After you’ve added a friend to your friends list, you’ll be able to create a party with them before searching for a game.
