The Finals is set to receive a new update next week. Update 3.7.0 was disappointing thanks to the lack of balance changes along with the fact it was merely an update to the store. Fortunately, a proper patch is on the way, and Embark has confirmed what is coming to The Finals next week while also hyping its rare and exclusive skins.
Embark explained why there was no patch notes for update 3.7.0, and they have also provided a first look at a new customization option presumably coming with Season 4. Not only that, but they have also released some new weapon skins that has reignited the want amongst fans for Embark to revert the massive nerf that has ruined the FCAR.
There’s still a while left until the end of Season 3, and we are getting the “big” update for this season next week. Embark has confirmed what is coming to The Finals and it’s exactly what we expected.
Embark confirms The Finals Emerald Rank is coming in update 3.8
Embark previously teased that next week’s update for The Finals is “big,” and this led us to make an educated guess that this was in regard to the arrival of Emerald Rank. Fortunately, not longer after our prediction, Embark Rob confirmed that Emerald Rank is indeed coming next week.
On The Finals Discord, many fans were speculating what could be arriving next week following Embark Rob’s tease. In response to the speculation, Rob posted, “3.8… EMERALD (THE FINALS) will go live… “. This message was shared on the game’s subreddit by OP MrNewt_.
In addition to confirming the upcoming arrival of the Emerald Rank, Rob hyped its exclusive skins. In another message, Rob posted, “Seriously if I ever wanted any skins in THE FINALS… it’s the emerald skins!”.
As for what the skins look like, you can see images of a few weapon cosmetics in the overview page that arrived with update 3.4.0. Below is an overview of what to expect from Emerland Rank:
- Seasonal event that unlocks during the season
- Available for contestants who have reached Gold 1
- A competitive experience for the most dedicated Cashout contestants
Rewards:
- A new tier, Emerald, becomes available when the event is live
- Earn special rewards
- Rewards will be awarded at the end of season
Emerald Rank will be exclusive to World Tour, and you will need to have reached Gold 1 to be eligible. Skins will be rewarded at the end of Season 3 similar to Ruby Rank skins.
