The biggest update for The Finals since the start of Season 3 is now out. Embark has said it is slightly delayed for Xbox, so that would explain why you cannot find it yet if you are playing on Microsoft consoles. There is a lot to appreciate about the new update, and one of the highlights is that it confirms the previously leaked Emerald Rank is real in what is fantastic news for The Finals players craving the return of ranked Cashout.
You can check out the update 3.4.0 patch notes to see all of the massive weapon nerfs and buffs, along with the changes made to Terminal Attack. The update was delayed twice, but it is now out for players to download and enjoy. It has added the Frog Onesie skin fans petitioned for to the store, but, in unfortunate news, the update has not delivered any nerfs to the Light class.
While the lack of nerfs to Light is disappointing for the community, there is so much more to appreciate about the patch. It’s the biggest update since the start of Season 3, and it confirms that Emerald Rank for World Tour is indeed real.
The Finals Emerald Rank is real for World Tour
Following the release of the new update, The Finals fans took to the game’s subreddit to react to the patch. User Dizzard92 created a thread titled, ‘Emerald is real guys!‘.
Before the release of this week’s update, the Emerald Rank was leaked on the game’s Discord. The following details are provided in the overview:
- Seasonal event that unlocks during the season
- Available for contestants who have reached Gold 1
- A competitive experience for the most dedicated Cashout contestants
Rewards:
- A new tier, Emerald, becomes available when the event is live
- Earn special rewards
- Rewards will be awarded at the end of season
You can see some of the rewards that will be given on the overview page in the embedded post below:
The Emerald Rank is not live as of writing, but it will apply to World Tour meaning ranked Cashout is back in this capacity. It’s a shame you will only be able to participate if you have reached Gold 1, but the good news is that Cashout is getting a competitive edge providing the alternative fans have desperately wanted to move away from the much-loathed Terminal Attack.
We cannot wait for the beginning of Emerald, but right now all you can do is check its info page. The rewards look absolutely gorgeous, and, in the eyes of many, it has already superseded Ruby in regard to glitz and glamour.
