However, playing for the sake of reaching higher ranks is often a slog so the community frequently looks for ways to earn experience quickly. The good news is you’ll be able to level up faster in the game through the use of a new feature. Here’s all that you need to know about Infinity Ward’s latest leveling mechanic.

What is Premium XP in Modern Warfare 2?

Premium XP essentially gives Modern Warfare 2 owners twice the experience after a Warzone 2.0 match. According to Infinity Ward’s announcement, MW2 owners will receive additional XP on top of the regular XP after a match. This becomes especially important with the new Prestige system in place that has a level cap of Rank 250.

Unfortunately, Premium XP will only be given to Modern Warfare 2 owners and will only be available through Warzone 2.0. Because of this, the CoD team recommends upgrading to the latest installment to avail of this opportunity.

The additional XP provided to Modern Warfare 2 owners aren’t the only benefits given to those that upgraded. Players that already own the most recent entry will also gain access to all the content arriving in Season 1.

This includes being able to play Infinity Ward’s latest addition to MW2’s game modes called Raids which will launch on December 14, 2022. Owners will also be able to obtain one of the newest operators added to the game named Zeus.
