What Is MW2 Raids?

Raids will be a part of the game’s Special Ops missions – and in fact you’ll be playing these missions to level your kits up to prepare for the Raid proper.

MW2 Raids Release Date

The first MW2 episode called the Atomgrad raid will launch on December 14th, 2022. This is according to the launch trailer that was shown at The Game Awards 2022. It’ll be a part of the game’s first Season 1 Reloaded update. The preview shows the staple protagonists of MW2’s campaign, which includes Soap, Farah, Alejandro, and Gaz. Check out the sneak peek below.

In case you’re not familiar, Reloaded is the moniker often given to mid-season updates in CoD games. These updates usually add some new maps and more additional content.

According to a blog post from CoD, completing this Raid will earn players the Gaz Operator skin. You’ll also be able to unlock a harder Playlist as well as additional cosmetic items.

MW2 Raids will involve three players working together as a team against tough AI opponents – with some unique challenges teased by the team. They’ll also be a continuation of the Campaign, so this is also where you’ll get your narrative content post launch.

If you want to make sure you’re ready, IW advise that you complete all three Special Ops missions in the game at launch with three starts, and have at least one Kit leveled up to Tier 5.
