Magic The Gathering Netflix Show FAQ

Does MTG have a movie?

At present there is no Magic The Gathering in either live-action or animation, and there are no known plans for a live-action or animated movie to be released either.

Are there Magic: The Gathering books?

There are, as, for decades, Magic The Gathering maker, Wizards of the Coast, would release a fiction novel set within the world of each new expansion of the game, telling stories that tied into the overarching story of that expansion.

Unfortunately, with the growing digital age of media, Wizards of the Coast, saw dwindling sales on the bundle packs, often known as “Fat Packs”, that the novels came with, and so made the decision to no longer release physical novels, but to instead release new fiction stories exclusively through their official Magic The Gathering website.
