Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 is almost over, as it has now entered its final month. There are still two updates to before the start of Season 4 and many have been speculating as to what to expect when it goes live on August 17th. After months of rumors, it now looks like a new collaboration is set to take place as Marvel will return to Fortnite for an entire season.
Fortnite leaker Shiina took to X to reveal that the next update, the 30.30 patch, is now in the staging servers ahead of its release next week. Then revealed there will be one new update before the Marvel season begins in Season 4.
“Fortnite just added v30.30 to Staging servers! The update is set to be released on July 23 at 2-4am ET. It will be the penultimate update of Season 3, the final update will drop on August 6! After that, we’re heading straight into the MARVEL SEASON.”
It has been rumored for a while that Season 4 will be another Marvel-themed season, following on from the incredibly popular Chapter 2 Season 4 that brought the likes of Iron Man, Thor, and Doctor Doom to the game. Previous leaks suggested that a new collaboration was coming to promote the Wolverine & Deadpool movie, with Wolverine’s Mythic weapon being leaked to be returning. But it looks like it will be a full Marvel season. In addition to Wolverine and Deadpool, it will be interesting to see which characters they choose to add, whether they remix characters from Chapter 2 Season 4 such as Iron Man, or go for previously unseen characters.
This isn’t the only exciting news that we’ve got to look forward to through the rest of 2024. It has been leaked that Fortnite OG is set to return with it focusing on Chapter 2, bringing back iconic POIs such as The Agency, before Chapter 6 begins at the end of the year. Fortnite Festival fans also have a lot to look forward to as Karol G and Snoop Dogg will be the featured artists of Season 5 and 6, following on from the legendary metal band Metallica being the focus on Season 4.
