Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 is here and it has shaken up the game in a huge way, at times it feels more like you’re playing Twisted Metal than Fortnite. Speaking of Twisted Metal, we are long overdue for a new entry in that series. One of the most exciting additions in Season 3 is the inclusion of Magneto in the Battle Pass. Here is everything you need to know to unlock Magneto in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3.
Ever since Chapter 1 Season 4, each Battle Pass has included a ‘secret skin’ which became available in week 7. These skins often were related to the story and lore of the game, such as including members of The Seven. Eventually, it became an advertised part of the Battle Pass and players would know who was coming to the game and it has often been reserved for collaboration skins in more recent times.
This bonus skin that will be available in the Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 Battle Pass is X-Men’s Magneto. Epic Games is no stranger to working with Marvel, with the iconic comic franchise even being the first-ever collaboration in the game, as well as seeing its own dedicated season in Chapter 2. Disney, the company that now owns Marvel, recently invested $1.5 billion into Epic Games, which means we will see many more collaborations between the two, with Kingdom Hearts being rumored to be coming to the game.
As with other bonus skins, Magneto will be unlocked in week 7, with him first becoming available on Tuesday, July 2nd. Once this date arrives, a new set of challenges will become available. Once you complete Page 1 you will unlock Magneto as well as various other cosmetics, and completing Page 2 will unlock a a new style for the skin.
Before Magneto comes to the game, there is still a lot that will be happening in the game. Fortnite Festival Season 4 is set to kick off on June 11th and an iconic metal band could be the featured artist next season. The classic Pro Lead and Bass style of gameplay is also now available across all input devices, giving all players the ability to play their favorite songs in the style of old Guitar Hero and Rock Band titles.
