With several recent massive updates Fortnite is once again at its peak. The new season brought a new Battle Pass, items, map changes, and more, but one thing that players might be missing out on is the chance to play in bot lobbies.

It’s no surprise players are looking for bot lobbies. The rewards in the Fortnite Battle Pass are great, and players want to unlock them as soon as possible, and while the levelling process is relatively easy, there is no doubt that earning XP is much faster in bot lobbies, and it can also be a lot more enjoyable throughout a Fortnite season to every once in a while take a break from real enemies.

How to enter a bot lobby

Unlike in the previous seasons, entering Fortnite bot lobbies is more complicated. It’s no longer possible to enter these lobbies by simply adding matchmaking bots. There is a way to do it, but unfortunately it’s going to be a bit more complicated than the old method.

With the removal of matchmaking bots in a patch, the only way to enter bot lobbies is by creating a new Epic Games account. This method has worked for a few years, and it’s unlikely that the game developer will ever remove it.

Here are the steps you need to take:

  • Create a new Epic Games account
  • Log in to Fortnite with it
  • Add the new account to your friend list
  • Invite it to your lobby
  • Get into the match together

When new accounts are created, they are automatically placed into bot lobbies. This is a measure taken to ensure that new Fortnite players get a few easy games where they can practise and learn how to play without having to worry about better players.

But, joining a group with a new player will not make them play games in normal matchmaking. Instead, you’ll be placed alongside them into their bot lobbies, giving you the chance to earn some easy XP. This will work in Duos, Trios and Squads and in both Battle Royale and Zero Build.

There are a few ways you can play with two accounts in-game thanks to crossplay being enabled. You can log in with a new account on your mobile phone or console. If you don’t have a second device, you can use cloud gaming services, such as Xbox Cloud Gaming or GeForce Now. You should use your main account on your primary device.

When we’ve used this method, we’ve had up to five games that only contained bots, thanks to there being a brand new account in the party. After that, we were back to facing real players and the brand new account went up against some players over level 400, at which point we would need to go through the process again to re-enter bot lobbies.
