As Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 enters its final months, you would expect everyone’s focus to be on Season 4, but instead, players are looking beyond the next season and what could be coming in the future. And some new leaks have revealed that the final few months of 2024 could be among the most exciting that we’ve seen in the game’s history.

Fortnite leaker Wensoing has revealed that Chapter 6 Season 1 is set to begin on December 1st. This also means that we can expect Fortnite OG Chapter 2 to launch on November 1st.

As with most new Chapters, the beginning of Chapter 6 will bring plenty of new quality-of-life changes to the game, including new mechanics, modes, and major changes to UEFN. It has been revealed that players will be able to lie prone, similar to games such as Call of Duty, which will make it harder to spot players as they try and line up a shot. A new swinging mechanic is also said to be coming to the game, which will be a great evolution of the climbing and mantling mechanics. It has also been rumored that Fortnite Chapter 6 could see first-person come to the game, something that has been rumored as early as 2018.

It was leaked in a roadmap at the beginning of the year that Chapter 6 would be beginning before the end of the year. Although the roadmap was understandably taken with a grain of salt, surprisingly everything that was on it has so far happened including the Star Wars collaboration in Lego Fortnite, Metallica in Fortnite Festival Season 4, and the apocalyptic-themed Chapter 5 Season 3.

In addition to the start of Chapter 6, we can also look forward to Season 4 which will be Marvel-themed. Karol G, Snoop Dogg, and New Jeans will be the featured artists for Fortnite Festival Seasons 5, 6, and 7, and the return of Fortnite OG but this time it will focus on Chapter 2.
