Fortnite x NewJeans to happen in December following Snoop Dogg collab

Fortnite Festival has been a huge hit since it launched in December 2023, bringing the plastic instrument rhythm game genre to a new generation following the decline in popularity of Guitar Hero and Rock Band a decade ago. Since the mode launched, it has seen four seasons which have featured The Weeknd, Lady Gaga, Billie Eilish, and most recently Metallica. With Season 4 wrapping up next month, many are looking at what could be coming next, and we now know what we can expect to see throughout the rest of 2024.

Fortnite leaker HYPEX has taken to X to confirm that the K-Pop group NewJeans will be coming to Fortnite Festival as the featured artist for Season 7, which will begin in December.

It was leaked last week that a K-Pop group would be coming to Fortnite, but there was no information regarding which group it would be. But now it looks like we have confirmation that it will be NewJeans. If you’ve never heard of NewJeans, they are one of the largest K-pop groups in South Korea, currently ranked 436th in the world on Spotify for monthly listeners at over 17.5 million due to songs such as Super Shy, which has over 572 million streams.

This collaboration will come following Karol G and Snoop Dogg being the featured artists of Fortnite Festival Season 5 and 6 in August and October respectively. There is also plenty to look forward to before the end of the year, with Season 4 rumored to be a Marvel-themed season. It has also been leaked that ahead of the start of Chapter 6, we will see Fortnite OG return but this time it will focus on Chapter 2, taking us back to POIs such as The Agency, Sweaty Sands, and Misty Meadows.
