A first-person mode has been highly requested by players for many years, but Epic Games has never officially added it to the game. With Chapter 6 leaks heating up, it has now been revealed that first-person could be coming to the game soon.

Fortnite leaker Shiina has revealed that the game could be set to receive a first-person mode in Chapter 6 as UEFN will be seeing official support for the POV.

First-person mode has been a feature that players have wanted dating all the way back to 2018 and there are plenty of videos online that showcase how this could look. With the release of UEFN, we have seen some player-made modes utilize a first-person perspective and the results are mixed. But, with official support for the POV, it will make it much easier for creators to build their mode around it rather than just shifting the camera and trying to make it work.

With the addition of first-person, it does open the possibility for Epic Games to bring it to the core Fortnite game modes, or release LTMs that are in the first-person perspective. This option will likely be the case as building could be incredibly difficult in first-person, but a Zero Build mode would work much better. Fortnite does currently use the first-person perspective when aiming down scopes but any gameplay outside of aiming with a scope is currently only in third-person.

The recent Chapter 6 leaks have been incredibly exciting, and we still have a while to go yet as it won’t be launching until December. But, before that, we have a Marvel-themed Season 4 to look forward to, as well as the return of Fortnite OG but this time it will focus on Chapter 2. Fortnite Festival fans also have a lot to be excited about as Karol G, Snoop Dogg, and NewJeans will be the featured artists for Seasons 5, 6, and 7 throughout the rest of 2024.
