Location of Ruby Life Pools

Ruby Life Pool’s Entrance can be found in the water filled areas of the Waking Shores region, with the exact coordinates on the map being /way 60.00 75.77.

Starting Area

As soon as you enter the dungeon, you’ll be greeted by a bunch of high level enemies, but the ones you need to watch out for the most are

  • Primal Juggernauts, for their insane AoE and tank busting attacks
  • Flashfrost Chillweavers, because of their extremely annoying Ice Shields that can stack to absorb a significant amount of incoming damage.
  • Flashfrost Earthshapers, who attempt to cast their Tectonic Slam ability every 10 seconds to deal a large amount of nature damage. They can only be interrupted by applying stun, disorientation, or fear.

How To Beat Defiler Draghar (Miniboss)

Before you can face the first boss of the dungeon, you first have to take out the mini boss, Defiler Draghar. Now, there are only two major abilities of this mini boss that you have to keep in mind.

The first is Steel Barrage, a flurry of strikes inflicts 57310 Physical damage to the current enemy target every 0.5 sec for 3 sec. Getting caught by this and not parrying or dodging the attacks will be devastating for your health bar.

The second is Blazing Rush, where the miniboss picks a random player and charges, or rushes at them. Any player caught in its path is dealt devastating damage.

How To Beat Melidrussa Chillworn (First Boss)

The first boss of the Ruby Life Pools is Melidrussa Chillworn. As many other ice based fights are, this fight also has features that restrict your movements, namely the boss’ Primal Chill ability, which pretty much all of her attacks apply to you.

One stack of Primal Chill reduces the player’s movement speed by 6%, and 8 stacks completely freeze the player. In addition, there are two attacks players need to be careful of.

Hailbombs

Hailbombs create zones under players, and being in them does devastating damage that, in most instances, can prove to be fatal. In addition, icicles also spawn from these zones and deal very high damage. Both the zones and icicles apply two stacks of Primal Chill.

Chillstorm

Every 20 seconds, Melidrussa Chillworn uses the Chillstorm ability, which creates a zone and pulls players toward it, similar to a vacuum. Any player in the zone is dealt very high damage in addition to receiving a stack of Primal Chill every second. After the storm ends, more Hailbombs are created to knock players backward.

How To Beat Kokia Blazehoof (Second Boss)

Before you can face the next boss, Kokia Blazehoof, you first need to take out four Blazebound Destroyers marked on your minimap. Although they’re a little annoying, they shouldn’t be too hard to beat. One thing to keep in mind is that they self destruct when defeated, so be sure to clear out quickly.

Boss Fight

Kokia Bazehoof is a unique boss in the sense that the only way to take it out easily is if you know the abilities, as well as where to position yourself ahead of time. Speaking of abilities, there are two of them you need to watch out for.

Ritual of Blazebinding

The Ritual of Blazebinding is the ability most players will have trouble with. Essentially, every 30 or so seconds Kokia summons a Blazebound Firestorm at the position of a random player. This add is immobile, and only spams roaring blaze, which deals high damage to all players in the group regardless of distance.

Not only this, but when they die, they detonate as well, covering the floor around them in lava which deals damage to anyone that steps on it.

Molten Boulder

This move is as straight forward as it gets. Kokia throws a boulder toward her highest threat target in a straight line, leaving a trail of molten lava in its wake.

As long as you’re able to successfully avoid the boulder, as well as successfully have the Blazebound Firestorms be summoned in a corner so as to take care of them easily and quickly, you shouldn’t have too much of a problem with this boss.

How To Beat Kyrakka/Erkhart Stormvein (Third/Fourth Boss)

On the way to the next boss room, you’re faced with multiple high leveled enemies. Although all alone they’re pretty easy to pick off, together they can prove to be a little overwhelming. Strength in numbers and all that.

Even when you do reach the two bosses, you first have to take out High Channeler Ryvati, who has a Tempest Shield you should focus on, lest you want your entire party to get wiped. When Ryvati has been taken care of, the two bosses will be attackable.

Boss Battle

As you might have guessed by now, both Kyrakka and Erkhart are to be fought together. Their health are NOT shared, and the fight itself has two different phases.

Phase 1

Phase 1 begins as soon as the two bosses become attackable. Kyrakka goes airborne while Erkhart fights from the ground. In this phase, the most dangerous ability is Erkhart’s Interrupting Cloudburst. When this ability is being cast, stop your own casting immediately.

There’s also Kyrakka’s Roaring Firebreath and Flamespit, both of which apply Infernocore when hit. When either of the two reaches 50% health, Kyrakka lands, Eckhart mounts up atop Kyrakka, and phase 2 begins.

Phase 2

In phase 2, it’s highly recommended you take out Kyrakka first because of the Infernocore stacks. After, all, Kyrakka’s Flamespit now hits all five players in the party and gives everyone a stack of Infernocore.
