The newest World of Warcraft expansion, Dragonflight, is now available to play with servers having gone live on the 28th of November. It is set on the enormous new continent of the Dragon Isles and includes a plethora of new content that fans will have been raring to sink their teeth into.

Besides adding a trove of new content, however, Dragonflight also completely revamps the Professions system, offering brand-new features and ways to make and deliver items to players. How Do Professions Work In Dragonflight
Following the Dragonflight expansion in World of Warcraft, while the basic concept of Professions will remain the same, you will need to become familiar with new features such as profession stats, crafting orders, and item quality if you want to get the most out of crafting in the next expansion.

This isn’t all, however; the Dragonflight expansion boasts a host of new features, such as a snazzy UI redesign and an entirely new Specialization system, making the once-stale Profession system now feels a lot fresher and more state-of-the-art.

Profession System User Interface Updated
Though initially daunting, the new user interface is actually pretty convenient once you get used to it. On the left, you’ll find your typical recipe list, and in the main window will be the ingredients needed to make the item according to the recipe you’ve chosen.Â

Thankfully with this latest update, the user interface for the menu itself will no longer be, well, hard to read. Instead of putting everything in a single huge list, the interface will now be a lot more uniform and user-friendly. Each individual expansion has also received a toggle, allowing players the opportunity to freely switch between them.

There are also a lot more minor yet fun changes to how players will see Profession stats, such as with the redesigned skill level bars. A few examples of this can be seen with Blacksmiths who have bars that resemble superheated metal, Jewel Crafters who have bars that sparkle with gemstones, and Alchemists who have bubbling potions to indicate their proficiency.Â

The new Crafting Details area of the UI, though, is perhaps the most significant improvement. This screen will be completely unfamiliar to players as it contains information on Craft Quality, Profession Secondary Stats, and a section for Finishing Reagents.
Profession Secondary Stats
Moving onto actual changes in the system itself, Professions have now been given a secondary stat system. This is nothing new to World of Warcraft, with older players being able to link this to the gear system that they are already familiar with.Â

The new Profession system, however, gives players the ability to now use stats like Inspiration, Resourcefulness, Multicraft, Finesse, Deftness, and more to boost their crafting efficiency! This brings a layer of nuance not previously seen in the older Professions system.
Crafting Orders
Other new features include a Secondary Stat System similar to the gears system of the World of Warcraft. Players can now increase their crafting effectiveness with Stats such as Inspiration, Resourcefulness, Multicraft, Finesse, Deftness, and more!Â

The difficulty of the recipe will rise, though, putting a concrete skill cap of which players can take advantage. If you do not have the required level of Skill, you can still produce that item, but the quality won’t be as high.

The concept of Skill in regard to your Profession does remain unchanged, with it being defined by traditional skill points, which you’ll get by creating products. However, by using Profession Knowledge to enhance nodes in the specialization trees, you can raise your skill level in Dragonflight even higher.
Profession Tools And Accessories
Profession tools and accessories are a new type of gear that play the role of providing Profession Secondary Stat bonuses while also changing the way they look. It’s a really fun way to add some style to your appearance, whether that be baskets for herbalists or pickaxes for miners.
Specializations and Profession Knowledge
Professions now have a substantial, talent tree-like system thanks to Dragonflight.

List Of All Professions And Their Perks In Dragonflight
The types of Professions that players can choose from remain unchanged in Dragonflight, though a refresher on the types, as well as some changes to each of their perks, might prove beneficial to those trying to navigate through the updated system. Blacksmith

Similar to previous updates, tailoring makes a big entrance into the new Dragonflight expansion. Now, Tailors will be able to create both the traditional bags and the new Reagent Bags. The ability to create Spellthreads, high-level cloth armor, and brand-new toys and banners for collectors and gatherers are further benefits of tailoring.

Alchemist
Dragonflight has given Alchemists a much-needed boost. They now benefit more from using Dragon Isles Potions since Phials now last longer and have increased healing and movement.
Additionally, having access to Elemental Potion of Ultimate Power without having to issue a Work Order will probably result in large gold savings, depending on which Alchemist Stone is carried. These Alchemist Stones in question will do one of two things: either lengthen the duration of Phials or lower cooldowns on Potions.
Leatherworker
The two types of armor that can be made by leatherworkers are leather and mail. In addition, they can make accessories and tools for seven different Professions, making them excellent supports.
Inscription
The Dragonflight: Dragon Riding Customizations option is now available to all players with the new update. With the use of Inscription, you can create a variety of timeless Appearances for your steadfast mounts.

The Inscription Profession is just as potent in Dragonflight thanks to the reappearance of elements such as Contracts, Darkmoon Cards, Missives, and others. To top it all off, though, there is one new craft called Draconic Treatises that will make players search for Scribes because they grant Profession Knowledge, a crucial resource in Dragonflight.
Engineer
Engineers have benefitted greatly from the Dragonflight expansion. Along with the extension of the Portable Crafting systems, the classic Battle Pet crafts are back, and Engineering also has new Tinker abilities.

Herbalist
Herbalists can gather Elemental-charged plants to make rousing essences. Just like Fishing, Cooking is a secondary Profession, meaning any player can just start it whenever they please. It also does not have a Specialization Tree.Â

Cooking in Dragonflight provides the same stat bonuses that players are accustomed to. The primary ingredients for cooking are always obtained by killing enemies in the real world and using fish from fishing. Combine these two Secondary Professions for a potent Crafting and Gathering combination. Additionally, feasts are back with new Dragon Isles variations, which makes it all the better!
Jewelcrafter
Crafters who choose Jewelcrafting may have a much quicker time getting to Skill 100 than some other Professions. Additionally, Dragonflight’s abundance of possible sockets on gear means that there will probably be a great demand for Gems, which increases the possibility of high profits for those in the Jewelcrafting business.

Miner
The Dragon Isles’ ore reserves are mined for use in jewel crafting, engineering, and blacksmithing. For the entirety of the Dragon Isles, there are only two base ore nodes; however, there are numerous Elemental-charged variants that also provide lucrative Rousing Essences for elite Professions.
Khaz’gorite Ore, a rare side collect from the current ore nodes, is a third valuable ore.
Miners can further specialize in boosting and increasing ore yields, enhancing ore quality, increasing the likelihood of valuable rare side collects and Rousing Essences, and even mining while mounted in the Dragon Isles.
