Dragonflight PvP and PvE Multiplayer System Explained

Understanding the multiplayer system of World of Warcraft can be slightly complicated due to the nature of Massively Multiplayer Online Role-playing Games (MMORPGs). With that said, you’d be glad to know that World of Warcraft: Dragonflight includes both Players vs. Players (PvP) and Player vs. Environment Multiplayer (PvE) systems.

In a PvP system, players form teams and fight against other player-controlled teams from different factions to come out on top. On the other hand, the PvE mode allows you to engage in combat with computer-controlled AI enemies and conquer their factions for XP and other rewards.

Is Dragonflight Co-op?

To get the full picture of the Co-op system in World of Warcraft Dragonflight, you need to understand that the game offers limited Co-op support. What does this mean? Well, while World of Warcraft: Dragonflight has online Co-op PvP and PvE support, it does not support offline LAN or couch split-screen Co-op PvP and PvE systems.

Therefore, you’ll have to play online with your friends to get the full Co-op experience. Luckily, that is relatively easy and straightforward to do. Simply add your friends to your Battle.net client and invite them to join your party.

Is Dragonflight Cross-play?

Since World of Warcraft is a PC-exclusive game as it has never been released on any consoles. However, even on a desktop system, it can be played on multiple OS. This feature hasn’t changed with Dragonflight, as it is going to be released for the following operating systems:

  1. Microsoft Windows
  2. macOS

Therefore, whether you’re a Windows or macOS user, you’ll definitely get to experience the magical realm of The Dragon Isles. The best part to note here is that Dragonflight comes with the Cross-Play feature enabled. Therefore, you can hop on a party with your friends regardless of the two platforms you use and explore the enriched lore of WoW without any restrictions.
