World Of Warcraft Dragonflight Druid Tier Set

With a new expansion, we have a new raid and with a new raid we have new tier sets! We’re going to have a look at the Druid tier sets and speculate how good they’re going to be in the upcoming raid!

Restoration

2 set – Rejuvenation, Lifebloom, Wild Growth, Efflorescence, and Tranquility chance to critically heal is increased by 10%.

4 set – Efflorescence critical heals increase the healing of your next Wild Growth by 5%, stacking up to 5 times. Lifebloom critical heals reduce the cooldown of Nature’s Swiftness by 2 seconds.

This set is incredibly strong, not only do you get a direct output increase with your 2 set you get a buffed up Wild Growth for some burst multi target healing and even a cooldown reduction on your panic button when one of your teammates or yourself drops low!

This set is definitely one to be happy with.

Balance

2 set – Starsurge and Starfall increase the damage of your next Wrath or Starfire by 20%, stacking up to 3 times. 

4 set – When you enter Eclipse, your next Starsurge or Starfall costs no Astral Power and deals 35% increased damage.

The Balance set is slightly underwhelming but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. A lot of the sets in this tier are intentionally designed this way to allow players to get used to a new talent system and not to make classes even more complicated after the initial mix up the talent revamp gave.

For the most part you won’t pay any attention to the 2 set and it will be a passive damage increase you don’t notice much. The 4 set however could have some interesting interactions and decision making. With the buff to a spender you may want to try line it up with a big damage window such as cooldowns being used or going into a big AOE pull.

Feral

2 set – Rip & Ferocious Bite damage increased by 6%.

4 set – For each combo point spent, finishing moves increase your Rip, Rake, and Thrash damage by 2% and increase the chance for Shred, Rake, Swipe / Brutal Slash, and Thrash to Critically Strike by 2% for 4 seconds.

As with the Balance druid the 2 set is fairly boring but still a nice passive damage buff to your spenders which is always nice. With the 4 set we are yet to see whether there will be 100% uptime on this or if players will want to maximize it. If it’s not simply a 100% uptime buff then we’ll likely see a small gameplay change where players will want to pool energy before spending combo points so they have plenty of energy to use on builders and maximize the buff.

Guardian

2 set – Using Mangle with Gore also deals 30% of damage dealt to nearby enemies, damage reduced beyond 5 targets. It also increases your damage done and reduces damage you take by 5% for 6 seconds.

4 set – Gore has a 5% increased chance to trigger. Using Mangle with Gore heals you for {0.5*AP} health over 6 seconds.

This set with the recent buffs Guardian Druids have seen does seem to be very strong. We’ll have to wait and see when the new raid comes out but currently Guardian Druids are doing a lot of damage and allowing one of their main damage sources to now cleave and do AOE damage does seem incredibly strong.

There is a nice little defensive element as well where you get damage reduction and healing whenever you use a Gore proc. The 4 set especially emphasizes this by allowing Gore to proc more often. We’ll have to see how this works in raid but it’s looking to be very powerful in mythic +.
