It should come as a surprise to no one that Jon Jones is at the top of this list. He is widely considered one of the best fighters in this sport’s rich history, and he has dominated this division. It’s no surprise at all that he comes in with the best ratings.

Daniel Cormier’s grappling game is unrivaled in this section, even if there are others with stronger alternative aspects of the game. All fighters in this class are 4.5 or better, so it’s an extremely strong division.

Shavkat Rakhmonov4.54.54.54.5

Legacy fighter Georges St. Pierre tops this list with a maximum 5-star rating, the only one in this group. St. Pierre’s ground game is unmatched, which is why his grappling has a sterling five rating.

Welterweight icons Leon “Rocky” Edwards and Kamaru Usman also come on this list with exceptional ratings. They are both 4.5 overall players, and they have 4.5s across the board. For an all-around rated player, there are not many better.

Sean O’Malley is the highest-rated fighter in the men’s Bantamweight division despite not coming in with a five overall rating. The American knockout specialist is incredible and one of the most fun players on this roster thanks to his perfect striking rating.

Grappling expert Aljamain Sterling also ranks high in this division. With EA UFC 5’s new submission systems, Sterling could become a fan favorite choice for fighting.

Jose Aldo4.54.54.54.5

The men’s Featherweight division is full of top-flight fighters. UFC 5 cover athlete Alexander Volkanovski is at the top, which should come as no surprise. His 5-star striking makes his punches hard to deal with, making it a little easier to send your opponent down to the canvas.

MMA legend Conor McGregor also comes to this impressive roster. He is one of several legendary fighters. McGregor, Bruce Lee, Mike Tyson, Fedor Emelianenko, Muhammad Ali, and more including alter egos can be unlocked through pre-orders for the Deluxe Edition of UFC 5. It’s one of the chief pre-order bonuses.

Amanda Nunes is the top fighter in the women’s Bantamweight division. She possesses powerful striking and comes in with an unmatched five rating overall.

Holly Holm can be an explosive striker too, but her ground game definitely leaves a little bit to be desired. UFC 5’s alternative cover star Valentina Shevchenko is a talented all-round fighter and will be tough to take down in the game.

The full database has not been completed yet. There are a few weight groups that EA has not revealed any fighters for, such as Men’s Heavyweight and more. These will be revealed eventually, as the game is almost available.

In the meantime, EA has unveiled the fighters with the most devastating kicks. Leading the Kick Power category is Edson Barboza and Justin Gaethje, both with 98 ratings. Jose Aldo, Alex Pereira, and Jan Blachowicz arrive just behind with 97 Kick Power, so they are not to be trifled with.

You can enjoy UFC 5 on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 alone. The frostbite engine in this year’s game should make a huge difference compared to previous UFC games with greater detail and more realistic aspects of damage. This, unfortunately, leaves Xbox One, PC, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch out in the dark.

Just like most of EA’s UFC series, UFC 5 comes with a mature rating.
