Increasing Tears of the Kingdom weapon slots is incredibly useful, allowing Link to carry around more powerful bows, shields, and melee weapons to take down the various threats of Hyrule. After all, you’ll want to be adequately equipped with tools for any kind of job in The Legend of Zelda TotK.

If you’re facing off against the new Tears of the Kingdom enemies and struggle with the Tears of the Kingdom weapon degradation burning a hole in your arsenal of weapons, you’ll want to increase weapon inventory slots so you have plenty of back ups. Here’s how it’s done.

How do you increase Tears of the Kingdom weapon slots?

You can increase weapon slots in Tears of the Kingdom by trading Korok Seeds with Hestu in exchange for more inventory space. You’ll find Hestu just north of the New Serenne Stable in Hyrule Ridge, south of the Lindor’s Brow Skyview Tower, likely as you take on the Rito Village portion of the Regional Phenomena main story quest. Talk to them to start the Hestu’s Concern side quest. They’ll then migrate to Lookout Landing, which you can reach from the Lookout Landing Skyview Tower. For a full breakdown of all their known whereabouts, check out our Tears of the Kingdom Hestu locations guide.

In order to collect Korok Seeds, you’ll have to find Koroks hidden throughout the overworld. While some of these are simply hidden under rocks, you’ll have to complete various environmental puzzles to find the majority of them, the most common of which is reuniting a Korok with his friends. If something looks slightly out of place out and about in Hyrule, there’s a good chance there’ll be a Korok connected to it. As such, it might be worth spending a minute or two investigating any oddities you come across.

Each elee weapons, bows and shield stash (as they’re called by Hestu) each have to be upgraded individually, as they all take up different slots. For example, if you upgrade your number of bow slots by one, your melee weapon and shield slots won’t increase alongside the bow slots. After upgrading one slot type, the next will cost one more Korok seed – the first slot cost one, the second two, the third three, and so on.
