Looking to make it to Tears of the Kingdom Rito Village but aren’t sure how to get there? Home to the Rito, Zelda’s humanoid, bird-like species, Rito Village forms part of TotK major early-game Regional Phenomena main quest so is well worth finding early on.

Of the four locations in that quest, Rito Village is a solid first option as on the way you’ll also start the Potential Princess Sightings! Quest, which leads to finding all the Tears of the Kingdom stable locations and Tears of the Kingdom Great Fairy locations.

Preparations for reaching the Rito Village

Before setting off for Rito Village, we recommend picking up some armour with cold resistance to deal with the region’s lower temperatures, which can hamper progress and nibble away at Link’s health over time. The Archaic Warm Greaves found near the Tears of the Kingdom Gutanbac Shrine on the Great Sky Island is a solid option and obtainable early on in TotK.

Alternatively, stock up on Spicy Peppers and cook up several batches of Spicy Sauteed Peppers, which offer cold resistance for 2 mins 30 secs when eaten. For the ingredients required, head to our Tears of the Kingdom recipes list. Consume these as soon as you hit the snowy parts of the Hebra and you’ll get to the village unscathed.

Tears of the Kingdom Rito Village location

The Rito Village is located on an island in the middle of Lake Totori in the southern Tabantha Frontier portion of Hebra, coordinates -3625, 1798, 0187. From Lookout Landing, head west along the main road into Hyrule Fields. If you follow the road, you’ll come to the New Serenne Stable. If you haven’t tamed a horse yet, you’ll find a few grazing in the field opposite the stable. Having one makes the journey to Rito Village quicker.

Continue following the path north and head for the Skyview Tower ahead of you in the distance – Lindor’s Brow Skyview Tower. Unlocking the tower gives you a better lay of the land and makes getting to the Tears of the Kingdom Rito Village easier.

After revealing the map of the area, you’ll see a road that runs southwest from the New Serenne Stable into Hyrule Ridge past Ludfo’s Bog and Seres Scablands, then west towards Hebra. Follow the path until you reach the Tabantha Ridge Stable. Cross the Tabantha Great Bridge west into Hebra and follow the path through the hills and mountains, then over a rickety wooden bridge until you come to the Oromuwak Shrine and the Lucky Clover Gazette, a stable now owned by the newspaper.

From the stable, you’ll spot Rito Village on a rocky island in the middle of the lake, but the bridge is broken. To get there, head to the campfire near where the bridge used to start and throw in a Hylian Pine Cone to create a powerful updraft of air. Deploy your glider and fly over to the village.

Climb the stairs to reach the village proper where you’ll be able to progress the Regional Phenomena quest. Check out our how to get out of the depths in Tears of the Kingdom and Best Tears of the Kingdom armor guides.
