Where is the Kadaunar Shrine in Tears of the Kingdom?

Tears of the Kingdom Kadaunar Shrine: The location of the Kadaunar Shrine on a map of Hyrule.

The Kadaunar Shrine is on the South Eldin Sky Archipelago in the Eldin Canyon Sky region near Pico Pond, south of Death Mountain. The easiest way to get to this island is by using the Eldin Canyon Skyview tower to get high into the air, and then gliding over to the Shrine. The coordinates of the Kadaunar Shrine are 1882, 1202, 1251.

Kadaunar Shrine walkthrough

As soon as you walk in, you’re greeted with a lava river. Near the lava is a fire hydrant. Hit the hydrant to turn it on, and then pick it up either by hand or using Ultrahand. Take it to the lava and the hydrant’s water will cool the lava, creating slabs of rock. Create a walkway by placing one lava slab after another to make a chain of islands and use this to jump from platform to platform to cross to the other side.

After crossing this lava, turn left and you’ll see another lot of lava in the next room, with a treasure chest on a ledge high up. This time, make three or four slabs of rock using the water, and then use Ultrahand to attach them together and make a ramp. Place the ramp over the lava and use it to climb up to the chest which contains a Strong Construct Bow.

Now go to the right side of the room, where there is a stone wall and a sword stuck in the ground next to it. Using this sword (or any melee weapon you like), Fuse it with one of the stone slabs you’ve created to make a makeshift hammer. Use this to break down the stone wall and proceed to the final room.

You’ll find another river of lava, this time flowing away from the end of the Shrine, as well as two more hydrants. Create another slab of rock, and using Ultrahand, move it as close to the Shrine as you can. Drop the rock, and it will begin to flow back towards you. Prepare your Tears of the Kingdom Recall ability, and just as the rock is about to pass below you, use Recall on it to send it backwards. Climb onto the rock and ride it all the way to the end. Run up to the Shrine and interact with it to complete it.
