Super Mario RPG best Frog Coin farming methods

There are plenty of ways to get Frog Coins in Super Mario RPG, but there are a select few methods that are significantly better than others. These are the three best methods to get Frog Coins fast:

Super Mario RPG Frog Coin farming: Mario talking to the Sky Bridge minigame NPC.

Sky Bridge minigame

In the Land’s End area of the game, you’ll find the Sky Bridge minigame. This involves you crossing a series of floating platforms while dodging Bullet Bills that are being fired at you. Talk to the NPC in charge and select the Expert Mode which costs five Coins, which will reward you with one Frog Coin for completing it.

Once you complete the course, you get the chance to try again to double your winnings. Repeat this until you have as many Frog Coins as you want. This method is great because it’s fairly easy, especially once you get the hang of it, but doesn’t give quite as many Frog Coins as our next method.

Paratroopa minigame

During the main story, you’ll reach a point where you’re tasked with climbing a sheer cliff face by jumping across the backs of Paratroopas. Once you’ve done it the first time, you can retry this minigame for the chance to win Frog Coins. For completing it in under 11.5 seconds, you receive one Frog Coin, but for completing it in under 10 seconds you get a whopping five Frog Coins.

Alex’s Advice

This minigame is tough and will require some practice, but once you can consistently complete it in under 10 seconds, this is easily the best method to farm Frog Coins in the game.

This is a pretty tough minigame to complete consistently, but with some practice it’s potentially the fastest way to farm Frog Coins in the game. If you’re a whizz at the Paratroopa minigame, this is certainly the best option. If you’re looking for something a bit easier, our last option is the one for you.

Super Mario RPG Frog Coin farming: Mario talking to the Midas River minigame NPC.

Midas River minigame

The slowest method out of the three, but certainly the easiest, the Midas River course is a minigame where you float down a river collecting coins. For every 75 Coins you collect, you’ll receive one Frog Coin. It’s fairly easy to get 75 Coins on each run, so this is a great way to get slow but steady Frog Coins, especially if you don’t need too many.

Just make sure you keep an eye out for which paths have the most coins, and in the barrel section, make sure to change lanes whenever the coins are on the other side.
