The latest Sons Of The Forest update has landed, introducing several new items, including the Hang Glider and the Binoculars. Whether scouting ahead for danger or scoping out valuable loot, the Binoculars are another tool to make surviving an island teeming with pitfalls and horrors a bit easier for players.
In this guide, we’ll explain where to find the new Binoculars in Sons Of The Forest. As far as items go in Sons Of The Forest, finding them isn’t all that taxing – no diving into dank caves teeming with mutants or duking it out with the cannibals.

Sons Of The Forest Binoculars Location
You’ll find the Sons Of The Forest Binoculars in the northwest of the map. They are located along the coast on a small beach that cuts inwards into the coast in a slingshot-shaped dip. Look out for a bright red kayak. You’ll find the Binoculars sitting on the front of the kayak. Note that the area has two kayaks – the one nearest to the sea is the one we’re interested in.
In terms of points of interest that are close by, the Binoculars location is northeast of the shotgun dig site, east of one of the new Hang Glider locations in Sons Of The Forest, and west of the rebreather cave. The easiest way to find the Binoculars in Sons Of The Forest is to head to the beach in the northeast and walk east/west, depending on what route you’re coming in, until you see the pair of kayaks.
Approach the Binoculars and tap the E button to add them to your inventory. To equip them, open up your inventory, and left-click the Binoculars to equip them. They are next to the GPS Tracker and Flashlight in the section immediately right of the central crafting space. Once equipped, left-click to use them and peer into the distance.
