Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Epilogue – Prerequisites
Before you can start the Scarlet and Violet Epilogue, you first need to complete both the Teal Mask DLC and the Indigo Disk DLC as well as the main story of the base game. That is a lot of content to get through prior to starting the epilogue. The order of this content is as follows:
Once you have completed all of these, you will be able to access the epilogue by going back to the Land of Kitakami where you started your Teal Mask adventure.
The main story of each campaign has credits that roll at the end. You will know when you have completed the stories when you see the credits roll and are free to complete extra activities. For Teal Mask, this is after you catch Ogerpon. In the Indigo Disk, this is after you catch Terapagos. Both of these legendary Pokemon must be caught to start the epilogue.
Not everything needs to be completed
While you need to complete the base stories of each campaign, you don’t need to complete the side content. For instance, you do not need to complete Perrin’s quests in the DLCs to unlock the epilogue. Only the completion of the stories is required.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet – How to start the Epilogue
To begin the Epilogue, you need to obtain the Mythical Pecha Berry key item and interact with the mochi on the desk of Peachy’s Stall in Mossui Town.
You can get the Mythical Pecha Berry item by using the Mystery Gift feature in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Choose the “Get via Internet” option and select the gift when it appears on the screen. Bring the Pecha Berry to the Pecharunt Doll at Peachy’s Stall. This will start the Epilogue. Currently, there is no known expiration date for this gift but we assume it will stop being given out after the next Nintendo system is released.
The epilogue is a short story that ties up the DLCs for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. It also leads to the capture of Pecharunt. You will want to make sure you don’t miss out on this since it is an event and not additional content. Once you have completed the epilogue, you will have Pecharunt on your team. This poison/ghost-type Pokemon is quite powerful and worth getting your hands on.
