How to start Teal Mask DLC 

The first thing you need to do is update your Pokémon Scarlet or Violet to Version 2.0.1. Then go to the official Nintendo store and purchase the DLC. Once you purchase it, the DLC will automatically be added to your Pokémon Scarlet or Violet, depending on the copy you own. 

You can open the Nintendo eShop directly from the main menu of your Nintendo Switch. Click on it and it will redirect you to the eShop page where you can purchase the DLC.

How to start playing the Teal Mask DLC 

So that’s the first bit. And if you’re not seeing the DLC even after purchasing it, simply close and reopen the game. Once you’ve purchased and downloaded the Teal Mask DLC, you will receive a call from Professor Jacq immediately after you open the game. 

Jacq will tell you about an exchange program trip to Kitakami that you were chosen to be a part of, and that you should hurry to the academy and prepare for the trip. Follow the instructions and fly to the academy. Once you get there, you’ll have to speak to Ms. Briar, an NPC you’ll meet at the entrance. 

After speaking to her for the first time, she’ll tell you that you need to speak to her again before you leave the premises. After the second conversation, you’ll shortly be given access to a Pokémon Center and PokeMart where you can while some time away. 

Then speak to Ms. Briar once again and you’ll be instantly dashed into Kitakami. From there you can start the Teal Mask DLC in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
