Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is a lot of fun but its much anticipated DLC Teal Mask release date is just around the corner. After months of waiting, we’re happy to say we finally have a release date for the DLC.

During the recent Pokémon Presents stream on August 8th, The Pokémon Company made various announcements including The Teal Mask, which is set to be the first half of Scarlet and Violet DLC release date. So when exactly is Teal Mask coming out?

Pokémon Teal Mask release date

Pokémon Teal Mask will be released on Wednesday, September 13th and will introduce a host of new features and Pokémon.

A new trailer for the DLC shows players travelling to the land of Kitakami as part of a joint school trip. The trip coincides with a local festival celebrating Kitakami’s legendary trio, known as the Loyal Three, and Ogerpon, a new masked legendary monster.

The trailer also shows that The Teal Mask will include new characters such as Perrin, a photographer who will send players on side quests in Kitakami’s wilderness to capture pictures of wild pokémon. There will also be features like Roto-stick, enabling players to take wider-angle selfies using the in-game cameraphones.

Also, the trailer shows that Kitakami is not only home to various wild pokémon from previous generations that are not found in Paldea but also introduces new creatures such as Dipplin, which is an evolution of Applin.

Although the trailer does not provide specific details on how to get Dipplin, it does highlight that Dipplin is a beloved species of the new trainer, Kieran. Kieran is one of the many students you will encounter at Blueberry Academy, which will play a more significant role in the second half of the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet DLC.

How to access the Teal Mask DLC

You can access it by starting the Treasure Hunt in Scarlet and Violet. After starting the Treasure Hunt, you’ll get a call from Professor Jacq inviting you to join the school trip to Kitakami. Then go inside the school and speak to Ms. Briar just by the entrance to access the DLC.

It’s worth noting that you’ll need to speak to Ms. Briar at least twice to access the Teal Mask DLC.

Pokémon Teal Mask release time
