If you want to upgrade the lock-on functionality in Pokemon Indigo Disk, head to the League Club Room Computer at Blueberry Academy.
Interact with the computer and contribute 200 Blueberry Points (BP) to the Photography Club by selecting the option that says “An update for the lock-on feature.” You should get enough BP from completing quests for the main story but if not, head back to the Terarium biomes before going to the BB League Club Room.
