Pokemon Trainers have been fooled by Voltorb for years now because of its appearance, which is extremely similar to Pokeballs. As a result, Voltorb are frequently mistaken for items that are lying around on the ground in various Pokemon games. Where to Find Voltorb
Voltorb can be commonly found around electrically charged places or in areas where it can feed on some electrical fields. There are a couple of areas in Paldea wherein they can appear. Voltorb can be found in:
- East Province (Area Three)
- West Province (Area Three)
You can also encounter Voltorbs in Tera Raid Battles. They can be fought in 2 Star Raid Battles.

How to Evolve Voltorb Into Electrode
All you have to do to evolve your Voltorb into an Electrode is to level it up to level 30. Voltorb and Electrode are notorious for either blowing up or zapping any unfortunate individual who happens to be the target of their anger because both of these creatures are very easy to provoke.

Appearance-wise, the evolution may be a little lackluster as the white and red colors of Voltorb simply get inverted with Electrode but their stats get significantly boosted.
If you don’t want to train a Voltorb, you can also find an Electrode in the wild. They are quite rare and can only be found in West Province (Area Three). Electrode can also be encountered in 4 Star Tera Raid Battles.

Comparing Stats Of Voltorb Evolutions
Both Voltorb and Electrode have speed stats that are surprisingly high. Voltorb’s stats are reasonably well-rounded across the board, whereas Electrode’s stats are also comparable but come in higher values.

Even though its offensive and defensive stats are nothing to write home about, it does have access to moves like Eerie Impulse, Light Screen, and Mirror Coat, all of which can be very helpful when used in a supportive role. Aside from that, Voltorb and Electrode are very well known for possessing the attacks Self-Destruct and Explosion. This move fits with their volatile temperaments and can be used as a last resort before your Pokemon is knocked out.

Both Voltorb and Electrode are pure Electric type Pokemon, which means that the only type of Pokemon and its attacks that they are vulnerable to are Ground type Pokemon. This provides them with a significant defensive edge.

Final Thoughts
Electrode is an extremely fast Pokemon and is able to use both Reflect and Light Screen, making it a great defensive lead for any team. Furthermore, should it be critically backed into a corner, it can use Explosion to take most enemies down with it.
