Looks like you have caught yourself a Dratini, a rare find in the Pokémon world. Dratini is a blue and white serpentine creature, mostly found in water, skulking down below and surviving on sunken food. Now, although the baby serpent has its perks as a Pokémon, you might still want to evolve it, and that’s what we’re here for. Dratini evolves into Dragonair, which further evolves into Dragonite, the best of the lot. Dragonite is a dragon with flying abilities and can be a powerful option in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Tera Raids

Upon hitting level 30, your Dratini will evolve into Dragonair. Dratini isn’t a hugely powerful Pokemon, so you might find things easier by letting your other Pokemon do the battling while Dratini farms XP in the background. Luckily, it’s not too high a level, so it shouldn’t take too long, especially if you’re battling high-level Pokemon to train it.

Dragonair will evolve into Dragonite when it reaches level 55. While Dragonair is a decently strong Pokemon, by the time you reach level 50, its power relative to other Pokemon starts to drop somewhat, so the last few levels might be a bit of a grind. Consider using XP Candies or Rare Candies to get those last few levels quickly.

Apart from evolving Dratini, you can also find Dragonair already evolved at different locations. One of the best places to go for this is Casseroya Lake. This can be a double-edged sword depending on how far you are into the game, as some of these Pokemon are pretty high-level. So if you’ve only got a few level 20 Pokemon in your team, it might be best to give it a miss for a while. Unfortunately, Dragonites do not spawn in the wild and will have to be evolved from Dragonair if you want to get one.

If you’re looking to capture a Dratini or Dragonair first, make sure you know the battle at Casseroya Lake will be a tough one, so keep your Poke Balls all ready and hope that they don’t wipe your team.
