How to level up fast in Payday 3: Best heists for farming XP

After having finished all of the heists, you might now be thinking what is the best way to level up fast in Payday 3.

Levelling up in the Payday series, as with many other games, requires XP. You’re going to earn this through completing heists and will give allow you to unlock new challenges, equipment, skill points, weapons and cosmetics. Effectively, aside from the few heists available in the game, the XP system is going to be how Payday 3 keeps hold of its long term sustainability.

So, what are the best ways to farm XP and Infamy Points so that you can level up fast? Well, similar to how the best way to earn money fast in Payday 3 is through replaying Road Rage over and over again, it’s not going to be too complex.

How to level up fast in Payday 3

Before finding out how to level up fast in Payday 3, we’re going to first figure out how to level up altogether. By completing challenges, you’re going to earn cash, cosmetics, Infamy Points, alongside XP. However, challenges are broken down into a few different categories in-game, each of which provides you with a different benefit.

Between Career, Combat and Heist challenges, there’s a range of different bonuses up for grabs.

Combat and Heist challenges are actually the best way to level up fast in Payday 3, so work through as many of these as you can to get to the highest level possible in-game.

Best heists for farming XP in Payday 3

However, while you’re going to be able to grind your way through these challenges fairly easy – there’s a way that you’re going to be able to speedrun through the Dirty Ice heist in under five minutes. This method will earn you 924XP, allowing you to level up skill trees and weapons alike.

Essentially, the best way to run through the mission is to take a silencer and mask up pretty soon. Head to the right of the building, enter through the roof and then complete the mission while taking out all of the guards inside.

• Go to the right alleyway besides the jewelery store
• Mask up as you pass the van
• Tie up the civilian waiting by the crates
• Climb up the crates on the left and climb the roof
• You will see a window to the store that you can cut
• Get inside
• Use the silenced pistol to take out security camera and guard
• Take the civilian into the office and tie them up
• Hack the PC and take the QR code from the phone
• Find the basement code, either on the: staff room whiteboard, VIP Room bookcase, or Employee of the Month number in storefront
• Go to basement, kill guard and take out two security cameras
• Unlock the door with red key card and disable showroom power
• Take two sets of jewelry from showroom
• Use the civilian in office to unlock the vault by throwing them into the button
• Use red keycard to unlock the vault
• Take the prized Jewel
• Climb back out the window and ferry the three bags to the van and escape
• +924 XP

So – that’s the best way to farm XP in Payday 3, and it only takes a simple speedrun though the Dirty Ice heist. If you’re looking to take home a fair bit of money alongside your XP, you’re going to want to check out a few other heists such as the Gold & Sharke bank heist, or the Rock the Cradle heist. Running through these is going to give you the opportunity to gear up with the best stealth build or the best assault build.
