If you want to know what the best Assault build in Payday 3 is, then you’ve come to the right place. Being adept in the art of espionage is always a welcome talent to have when it comes to dealing in the criminal underworld. However, there will inevitably be times where you’ll want to go into a heist with guns blazing so you can finish the mission as quickly – and with as many casualties – as possible.
Of course, you will need to have an optimal loadout containing the best Payday 3 weapons to efficiently mow down all of the combatants you encounter throughout the Payday 3 heist list. With this in mind, we’ll be taking a look at what the best assault build in the game looks like so you can make use of it for yourself during a mission. If you aren’t interested in doing things the old-fashioned way, though, you can always check out our best stealth build in Payday 3 instead.
Best Payday 3 assault build
The best assault build in Payday 3 is made up of the following weapons and accessories:
- Primary Weapon: CAR-4 / KU-59 (unlocked at level 35)
- Secondary Weapon: Stryk 7 (unlocked at level 25) / SP Model 11 (unlocked at level 38)
- Deployable: Ammo Bag
- Armor Lining: Medium Ballistic Lining (unlocked at level 8)
- Throwable: Flashbang Grenade
- Tool: Infrasonic Mine (unlocked at level 10)
Assault Rifles are your best friend if you want to go into each heist aggressively. So, of course, the primary weapons we’ve selected for this build consist of the ever-reliable CAR-4 and the classic Kalashnikov-like gun, the KU-59. Since the latter is more challenging to earn than the former, the CAR-4’s reliability, damage, and rate of fire means you can stick with it, at least until you’ve reached the rank needed to unlock the KU-59.
You will also need a reliable secondary weapon to support your powerful primary armament, so we suggest using either the Stryk 7 or the SP Model 11 as both of these pistols have respectable fire rates and stopping power. However, you will need to grind a few heists out to obtain them, which means you may have to stick with the Signature 40 if you’re just starting out.
With all the bullets you’ll inevitably expend in eliminating local authorities, you must constantly replenish your ammo. For this reason, the Ammo Pack is the perfect deployable since it enables you to refill your bullet stocks in a flash. We also recommend equipping the Medium Ballistic Lining since this provides decent protection while still allowing you to move relatively quickly.
Best Payday 3 loud skills
These are the skills we recommend getting for the best Assault build:
- Ammo Specialist (Ammo Specialist)
- Plate Up (Ammo Specialist)
- High Grain (Ammo Specialist)
- Top Up (Ammo Specialist)
- Mower (Mower)
- Suppressive Fire (Mower)
- Enforcer (Enforcer)
- Face to Face (Enforcer)
- Tactician (Tactician)
- Coup de Grâce (Tactician)
- Scramble (Tactician)
- Strategist (Strategist)
- Combat Marking (Strategist)
The main idea with the skills we’ve chosen above is to quickly gain Edge and Grit from the Mower and Enforcer perks respectively. With Suppressive Fire, each shot from your weapon will have the chance to stagger your enemies, which then works in tandem with Tactician and Coup de Grâce, granting you additional damage and even more Edge.
Once you have both Edge and Grit, another 10% damage will be added to your output through Face to Face, making it easier to take down any combatant standing in your way. To dish out even more punishment, make sure you mark any enemy you see, as Combat Marking will let you deal an additional 10% damage. With several damage bonuses stacked, you’ll undoubtedly be able to complete any heist you join with ease.
