When is the Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 release window?
As stated, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will land on Tuesday, February 11 2025. That’s still some time away, so expect plenty more previews and interviews leading up to launch. Deliverance 2 was first revealed in April 2024, and, at the time of writing, there are no further details.
Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 gameplay
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 picks up after the events of the first game, with the main protagonist Henry of Skalitz returning as the main character. As Henry, you are navigating the brutal medieval setting of 15th-century Bohemia. Deliverance 2 is an open-world game, boasting a larger map than the original and including more RPG systems, classes, and freedom when it comes to specialising—the realistic combat returns, with seemingly better controls and fluidity than before. As we noted in our preview, the combat system has been “streamlined”, which is to say it has been scaled back. This could well be a move to make the game more accessible than its predecessor, which was known for its dauntingly-realistic sword play. As per the game’s Steam page, the combat is explained as follows: “There’s a range of authentic weapons and combat styles to suit every player”.

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 trailers
There are two trailers released for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. The first was the game’s initial announcement trailer in April, showing off an intense castle siege, exploration, and combat. The trailer focuses on Henry, the protagonist of the first game, and then things he’s had to overcome as he searches for the person who killed his parents. The graphics look incredible and the combat seems brutally precise.
The second trailer for the game was revealed during the Summer Game Fest in June. This trailer gave us a look at more of the same. We see the brutality and harshness of the medieval world, but we also see how vast and beautiful it is. From the trailer, it looks like we’ll take part in large-scale battles, with sieges and skirmishes taking place.
