It’s only really been out for a few days now, but we’ve already cracked the easiest way to get rich quick in the latest heist game. The second heist, Road Rage, comes just after you complete the Payday 3 No Rest for the Wicked heist. It’s in this short, action packed sequence that you’re going to be able to make use of its short brief design to make money fast in Payday 3.

If you’re going to give the heist a go on Overkill – you’re going to be able to earn between $350 – $800K, which is going to set you up pretty nicely in-game. Not only that, but the heist doesn’t really take that long if you get everything set up beforehand.

The thing with the Road Rage level is that trying to do it stealthily isn’t possible. You begin the level masked up, and you’re going to need to silence any civilians. Ambush them and tie them up so they can’t escape. This is going to give you enough time to get everything set up before the cops arrive, so make sure you do that.

Straight away, you should pick up the EMP that’s in a box at the start of the level. You’re going to make your way over to the plant point, set it down, then activate it. This is going to alert the armed forces, so be prepared for a loud barrage of violence shortly after this.

The hacking device will then guide the truck through the map, so long as a player is within the circle around it. While you do this, your team is going to have a few moments to get everything into place.

You’re going to have some time before the truck arrives and before the beginning of the police assault to find either the road ramps or blast open the gate. We’d recommend getting these down now so that when your enemies do eventually arrive, you don’t have to faff around with evading them while looking for materials.

Once you’ve set these up, you’re going to need to split your team up into two teams. The first team, composed of two heisters, is going to stay nearby the truck. This will make sure the truck keeps moving throughout the level.

The other two heisters are going to find decent positions and begin to defend the truck and its couriers from the police. You’re going to want to find a scaffolding tower, climb up it, and get ready to unload bullet hell on the cops.

Make sure you use your Overkill weapons in this level to quickly dispatch enemies. You’re also going to need to be well stacked with ammo, armour, and health packs. After a while, the truck is going to arrive at its position. From here, you can begin drilling beneath the truck to open up the electrical circuits controlling the door locks.

Once the doors are open, the defence team can get inside and you can start lockpicking all of the vaults. Meanwhile, the assault team should gather ammo from nearby corpses. There will be a few bags of cash alongside a few stacks of raw materials in the truck, and depending on the state of the police assault, it’s advised that they start loading up on loot.

The second stage of the level begins now, and it’s a whole lot of carnage. SWAT teams are going to be called in, and you’re going to encounter a handful of Bulldozers and Cloakers.

Now, the team dynamics are going to split slightly. One player, perhaps the fastest and most agile, is going to mule the money over to the helicopter, which someone is going to summon by activating a flare.

Once you throw the money into the helicopter, the whole team is going to need to make its way to some marked scaffolding. Here, another helicopter is going to whisk you away, though you’re going to want to make sure that you all have enough health and ammo to make the journey there.

How to make money fast in Payday 3

To begin with, you’re going to want to get started with the mission. Unlike others in Payday 3, you’re going to be able to start the mission with your mask on. This means you’re not going to have to faff around with stealth and being considerate – just go in all-guns blazing. Not only that, but you’re also going to be able to rig up the map as soon as you start. There’s not that much to do, but there’s a few little things that you’re going to want to take care off before the police are alerted:

• Take plenty of ammo
• Co-ordinate with your team carefully, each person needs a role
• Place the road covers before the action begins
• Take as many bags of money and raw materials as possible

While the payout is technically smaller than what you’d get from other heists, the time taken to get from start to finish is much shorter, meaning you can grind through this pretty quickly.

Doing this mission repeatedly will help you with researching to earn skill points while also giving you an opportunity to earn money to buy the best weapons in Payday 3.

This is one of those little tricks that’s going to work best if you know how to start a private lobby so you can play with friends. Doing this is going to give you a little advantage in cheesing through the heist. It can take anywhere between 10-15 minutes depending on your loadout and abilities.
