Palworld in VR is a pretty impressive thing. It’s already a pretty immersive game with good graphics and a nice open world, but imagine seeing it through your own eyes. Now, you don’t have to, as there is already a mod that allows you to experience the thrill of catching a Pal right in front of your face. Here’s how to do it.
How to play Palworld in VR
Palworld is in VR, and it’s not terribly difficult to get. Follow these steps:
- Download Praydog’s UEVR mod from Github.
- Install .NET 6.0 runtime.
- Launch UEVRInjector.exe as an administrator from the folder.
- Connect your VR headset to your PC that has Palworld downloaded. This will not work with an Xbox version of the game.
- Launch the PC game.
- Open the process list and choose the game.
- Choose OpenVR or OpenXR.
- Download the Palworld UEVR profile.
- Choose “Import Config” and select the .zip file.
- Press Inject.
- Set up your VR settings how you want and enjoy Palworld!
Please keep in mind that this is not going to be a native-level experience since PocketPair did not design the game in virtual reality. However, since Palworld was developed using Unreal Engine, it works with the mod. This universal VR mod isn’t specifically for Palworld as it allows you to play Unreal Engine 4 and 5 games with your VR headset.
You can get 6DOF movement, full 3D graphics, and a fairly user friendly GUI. The mod supports both OpenVR and OpenXR, but you can also optionally use a controller if you’re more comfortable with that for your gameplay.

Another thing to keep in mind is that this is a mod, so it’s not going to always work exactly how it should. The developers didn’t make this, so it is external. Furthermore, since the survival game is in early access beta, your monster-catching endeavors don’t always work properly, either. PocketPair gives that as a warning when you start the game.
