Just in time for the Halloween season, MLB The Show 23 is introducing a new program for Diamond Dynasty: Trick or Treat! Each one will have its own program, so there are Trick and Treat things to do. Today’s the final day for it, so it’s important to play it while you can. Here’s what we know so far.
What is MLB The Show 23 Trick or Treat?
Trick or Treat has always been a popular set for MLB The Show, and it has officially returned for MLB The Show 23. It’s always centered around Halloween, which is arguably prime baseball season. The World Series is on as the playoffs and MLB postseason comes to a close, and there is usually a specific playoff-themed program and cards for postseason performances.
This limited time program allows you to play in Mini Seasons, earn XP, and unlock items for your team. By doing so, you will take part in the annual release and potentially earn a way to increase your team OVR. This set was rumored, but was eventually confirmed and released. Now, it’s giving players a fun Halloween-themed set to try and grind!
MLB The Show 23 Trick & Treat Programs explained

In the Trick Program, you will need to find 13 Mystery Missions hidden across a few different modes of Diamond Dynasty, such as a Showdown. As you complete those Missions, you will earn:

In the Treat Program, you can get:
- Postseason Series Tyler Anderson
- Finest Series Jake Cronenworth

- Postseason Series Tyler Matzek
- Packs
- Stubs
- XP
You can do this by finding the 13 Mystery Missions, which includes a Conquest Map.
MLB The Show 23 Trick & Treat Showdown
One of the potential Mystery Missions is found in Showdown. In this mode, you will select seven Diamond hitters to lead your lineup against the Final Boss Triston McKenzie. Doing this will award you vouchers.
MLB The Show 23 Conquest Map
Another potential Mystery Mission for the Trick & Treat programs is Conquest Map. In this mode, you will have to take over the Jack O’Lantern themed map to ensure you earn vouchers. These things could have been done in the regular season, but are different now for the program.
MLB The Show 23 Trick or Treat end date
Per MLB The Show’s official website, the Trick or Treat programs will come to a close on October 31. That coincides with Double XP, which ends on the same day. Both began a few days ago with teases of visiting the moon.
Swing for the fences in MLB The Show 23, available on Nintendo Switch, PC, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. The fun content will be available to all of them.
That’s all for what we know about the Trick or Treat program, but be sure to check out the MLB The Show 24 release date, the postseason flashbacks program, and the future icons series!
