To get the free Set 4 diamond player item, head to this link. This is where you can sign up for the Scouting Report, which is an MLB The Show news outlet. If you subscribe to it, which is a free sign-up, you will get the card in MLB The Show 23.
However, this does not last forever. In fact, it’s pretty limited. You have to sign up by 12 am PST, which means you have about 17 hours to do so. You don’t want to miss out. Once you go to that link, sign in with your platform account and make sure it’s linked to your MLB The Show 23 account.
