Is there a Lords of the Fallen new game plus mode? NG+ mode is a typical addition in souls-like games and was popularized by games like Dark Souls and Bloodborne. This new soulslike experience is filled to the brim with weapons, secret passages, NPC quest and even different endings.

If your plan is to enter a new game plus mode in any game, you should know how to upgrade weapons with blacksmith Gerlinde, make sure you’ve upgraded the Sanguinarix to full, and maybe even check if you can upgrade armor first. Then once you’ve beaten Adyr or taken the Inferno ending, you’ll be ready to jump in.

Lords of the Fallen – Is there a new game plus mode?

Yes! There is a new game plus mode in Lords of the Fallen. This was actually confirmed before the release of the game in an interview with mp1st and Saul Gascon from Hexworks. During this interview, Gascon stated, “We have quite a few surprises waiting for players in new game plus.” There are also a “couple of extra surprises.”

Now that we know there is a new game plus mode, all there is left to do is beat the game. Once you are done with your first playthrough, you can go into NG+ mode. Be sure to make certain you wrap up everything you need to do before heading in though. If you still have more boss items or weapons to get from the Remembrances you’ve picked up, speak to Molhu. Be sure to buy and socket all the runes you have available from Gerlinde. And if you’ve got any lingering NPC quests, wrap them up before heading into the new game.

Lords of the Fallen – New game plus explained

There are some key differences between the regular playthrough and NG+. You are probably familiar with Vestiges. These act as Bonfires in Dark Souls. There are two types of Vestiges in Lords of the Fallen; standard Vestiges and Vestige Seedlings. In new game plus mode, you only have access to one Vestige and it is in Skyrest Bridge.

All of the Vestiges in new game plus mode are removed. Instead, you need to place Vestige Seedlings as you go, making the current playthrough much more strategic and difficult. When you die, you will be teleported back to the last seedling position.

As part of new game plus mode, you get to keep all of your stats and gear from your previous playthrough. This will help as the enemies in the new game mode are tougher and can take more damage, although they do drop more Vigor when killed.

That covers Lords of the Fallen new game plus mode, and what to expect going in. We’d recommend that new players get used to the game by trying out the best weapons to suit their playstyle.
