Best Talents in Hogwarts Legacy

Best Talents in Hogwarts Legacy

Here are the best Talents you can get in Hogwarts Legacy:

Accio Mastery

Accio is the building block on any decent combat spell set, and enhancing it to pull in not one but multiple enemies simultaneously, makes it even more versatile for closing the distance to enemies. Followed up by a damage spell like Confringo or Incendio, Accio Mastery will see you churn through HP bars in no time.

Revelio Mastery

Hogwarts Legacy has more collectibles, chests, and hidden items than it bears thinking about if you’re a completionist. We’ll take any help we can get to make the task of tracking them all down easier. Revelio Mastery does just that, expanding the range of each Revelio cast. It’s one of the best Talents in Hogwarts Legacy in our book.

Basic Cast Mastery

Combat encounters beat to the rhythm of cooldowns, and reducing them allows you to chain spells even faster. Basic Cast Mastery, which reduces spell cooldowns for each Basic Cast attack that lands, is, therefore, a must-have.

Spell Knowledge 1

The starting spell set in Hogwarts Legacy offers a measly four slots for your spells. With various enemies, puzzles, and secrets that require very different spells, it’s worth spending a Talent point on Spell Knowledge 1. The Talent gives you an extra spell set you can fill with the spells of your choice. You can even swap to it mid-fight by holding R2 and tapping the d-pad.

Wiggenweld Potency 1

On higher difficulties, enemy hits take a meaty chunk out of your health. Having Wiggenweld potions that heal more health thanks to Wiggenweld Potency 1 is the type of livesaver that will serve you well throughout your playthrough.

Swift

The Swift talent sees your character vanish quickly and reappear nearby rather than simply dodging. It not only looks cool but can get you out of sticky situations when several enemies converge on your character at once.

Confringo Mastery

Confringo is one of the best spells in the game and should be in heavy circulation in your combat spell set. Boosting its damage with Confringo Mastery, which produces enemy-seeking fiery bolts after each Confringo spell lands, makes a powerful spell even more devastating. It’s one the best Talents in Hogwarts Legacy.

Stunning Curse

In Hogwarts Legacy, Stupify is your shield, and getting to grips with the combat system is partly about learning how to parry. With Stunning Curse, Stupify curses enemies, making them more susceptible to damage from follow-up attacks. You’ll be blocking attacks very often, so you might as well make them lethal. Paired with Blood Damage and Avada Kedavra Mastery, Stunning Curse is borderline OP.

Blood Damage

With Blood Damage, any attacks directed towards a cursed enemy inflict damage on all cursed enemies. Its utility speaks for itself, mainly when used alongside Stunning Curse.

Avada Kedavra Mastery

Last but not least, we have Avada Kedavra Mastery, a late-game Talent available at Level 22. With the Talent unlocked, killing an enemy with the Avada Kedavra spell immediately kills all cursed enemies. You’ll be wiping out hordes of goblins and Ashwinders in no time. Pair with Stunning Curse and Blood Damage for the best results.

That covers the best Talents in Hogwarts Legacy. These are our favorites, but many more have situational utility, especially if you prefer a stealthy playstyle, make heavy use of Ancient Magic, rely on potions, or like a specific spell like Glacius or Bombarda.

Hogwarts Legacy Talents List

You can access Talents from the Field Guide in Hogwarts Legacy, but only after completing the Jackdaw’s Rest quest. Talents are unlocked using Talent Points. Though each Talent costs one point, some are only available once you’ve reached a certain levels, specifically level 5, level 16, and level 22.

Every time you level up from level 5 up to level 40, you’ll get one talent point, giving you a total of 35 talent points to spend during your playthrough. You can level up by completing side quests and main story quests, finding collectibles like Demiguise Statues and Field Guide Pages, and taking on enemies out in The Highlands and at bandit camps. Talents unlocked using points are permanent, meaning they can’t be changed or amended afterward.
