Assassin’s Creed Shadows proposes a vast and generously filled out interpretation of feudal Japan, which means stacks of assassinations to take on and quests to complete. There’s a lot there to put it lightly and only the most dedicated of players will hover up everything on offer.
To help you get a sense of what’s ahead, we’ve pulled together a comprehensive quest lists for Assassin’s Creed Shadows. We’re more or less certain it’s complete, unless we stumble across some hidden story lines in a deserted corner of the map. If that happens, we’ll jump back in and update as and when.

As explore feudal Japan, you’ll come across some colourful characters that you can recruit to help your cause. They are three allies to recruit in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, but to do so you’ll need to complete a string of quests, as follows:

Aside from the busywork of killing the Shinbakufu in the main story, Assassin’s Creed Shadows is positively dripping with optional side quests for you to take on. They are typically penned into specific regions and involve helping a local to deal with a problem, the most common solution being to hire you as a hit man.

Naoe Kuji-kiri flashback quests
Throughout Japan, you’ll come across spots where you can meditate as Naoe. Other than a fun little mini-game to take a break for all the killing, the first four you interact with also trigger flashback quests, as follows:
