A crew of troublesome ronin sporting colourful robes known as the Kabukimono have been causing havoc across Izumi Settsu, ignoring the laws of land as they kill and pillage their way through the region. The priest Shin’nyo has asked Naoe to kindly put an end to their murderous shenanigans, tasking her with finding and assassinating eight ronin targets.
The problem is you only have limited details on their whereabouts, making the task of finding them in the first place a little tricky. In this guide, we’ll walk you through where to find the location of all eight Kabukimono targets in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Note that you’ll need to kill the first five ronin before you receive a letter giving you more details about the whereabouts of the other three.
Big Sueki
You’ll find Big Sueki in the Muko Post Town to the north of Amagasaki in the Amagaseki sub-region in the very northwest corner of Izumi Settsu. Killing them gets you 2000 XP, x2 Mastery Points, and the Tactless Pray rare katana.
Grave Dancer
You can find the Grave Dancer in the grounds of Sumiyoshi Shrine in the countryside south of Osaka in the Osaka sub-region in the southwest of Izumi Settsu. Taking them out gets you 2000 XP, x2 Mastery Points, and the Widower’s Solace rare katana.
Ember
You’ll find Ember just west of the Temple of Osaka in the built-up town area to the southwest of Osaka Castle in the Osaka sub-region of Izumi Settsu. Assassinate them to earn 2000 XP, x2 Mastery Points, and the Spark of Ember rare tempo.
Ghost General
You can track down the Ghost General in the Port of Sakai not far from the Port Trader in the town of Sakai in the Sakai sub-region in the southwest of Izumi Settsu. Kill them to bag 2000 XP, x2 Mastery Points, and the Kabukimono’s Greed.
Chief Cuckoo
You’ll find Chief Cuckoo near the Katano Oil Trading just southwest of Katano Castle in the Katano sub-region of Izumi Settsu. Liquidate them to score 2000 XP, x2 Mastery Points, and the rare-quality Prancing Naginata.

How to find the remaining three Kabukimono ronin
You’ll need to kill the five ronin listed above to receive a letter giving you details about the whereabouts of the other three. To find them, you’ll need to deposit messages on a board at the entrance to the Nishinomiya Shrine in the Nakayama Peak sub-region in the northwest of Izumi Settsu. At this point, you’ll have the choice to either hunt them down one by one or leave a message to gather them all in one place.
If you choose to hunt them down one by one, continue below, otherwise, they’ll all gather in the lumberyard to the southeast of Takagi Otsuka Fort in the Kanki Burned Fields sub-region of Harima, which is northwest of Izumi Settsu. I’d recommend not taking them on all at the same time, if only because it’s a tough fight taking down three elite enemies.

Corrupt Blade
You’ll find the Corrupt Blade near the Mount Haba fast travel point to the southwest of Miki in the Kanki Burned Fields sub-region of Harima, which is just northeast of Izumi Settsu. Dealing with the Corrupt Blade nets you 2000 XP, x2 Mastery Points, Ration on Kill engraving, and the Kabuki Corruptor rare long katana.
Laughing Man
You can track the Laughing Man to the Blackstone Cascades in the east of the Mount Kasagata sub-region of Harima not far from the border with Kamakura Valley. Taking them out earns you 2000 XP, x2 Mastery Points, Adrenaline Gain for Kusarigama Mastery legendary engraving, and the Flight of the Ubagabi legendary trinket.
Peacock
You’ll find Peacock stationed near the border with Tamba in the northwest of the Mount Kasagata sub-region in the north of Harima. He’s just about north of the letter ‘M’ in Mount on the world map. Assassinating them rewards you with 2000 XP, x2 Mastery Points, Buildup with Backstab engraving, and The Sleight of Hand rare bow.
