As part of the Stolen Faith quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, you’ll need to find Mitsumune and convince him to join forces with Naoe and Kyonyo to take down The Wounded Onryo member, Wada Koretake. Easier said than done though because the details around Mitsumune’s location aren’t all that much help.

He’s reportedly in Izumi Settsu, north of Amagasaki, and with a camp set up at Nunobiki Falls. The location is nestled away in a part of the map you’ve likely not ventured into yet. In this guide, we’ll walk you through where to find Mitsumune in Assassin’s Creed Shadows and the statue you’ll need to find shortly after to progress the quest.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows Mitsumune location

To find Mitsmune, you’ll need to travel to the Nakayama Peak sub-region of Izumi Settsu across the large river in the north east of the province. From there, go north of Amagasaki until you reach a point of interest called Nunobiki Falls. It’s just southeast of the Nakayama Watchtower fast travel viewpoint and west of Senri Hills.

From Amagaski, follow the river heading north and you’ll naturally reach Nunobiki Falls. Check the images above for the exact spot. The gallery includes a zoomed out shot along with a close-up to help you find the man.

Once you reach Nunobiki Falls, you’ll find Mitsunume crouched next to a wooden basin in a small camp to the left (or west) of the stream that runs down from the waterfall. As you approach Nunobiki Falls, a more specific quest marker will pop up, guiding you right to his location. Speak to him and he’ll ask that you retrieve a stolen statue. Mitsumune doesn’t think Kyonyo will look kindly on him joining the assault if the statue is gone.

Where to find the Stolen Faith Statue in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

To find the Stolen Faith statue, you’ll need to go to the Toneyama Post Town in Senri Hills. This is east of Nakayama Peak where you found Mitsumune and not far from the Koyana Ruins viewpoint fast travel point.

When you reach Toneyama Post Town, you’ll find it overrun by bandits. You’ll want to thin down their numbers by staying concealed, using the rooftops and hiding places. It’s also better to go at night to help keep Naoe hidden as much as possible. You’ll find the statue inside a building guarded by several bandits in the center of the town, just north of the road that cuts through the settlement.

Remember to use Naoe’s Observe skill and look for a blue shining dot, indicating the location of the statue. It’s next to a cushion, an assortment of pots, and a lootable chest inside the house. Make your way back to Mitsumune to deliver the statue. He’ll agree to help out, triggering the final portion of the hunt for The Wounded Onryo member. From here, you’re not too far off unlocking Yasuke as a playable character.
