According to the leaked list of guns and weapons, the PILA will return in Modern Warfare 2. Thanks to its lock-on capability and ability to fire it without having acquired a target, the launcher is arguably one of the most versatile in the Call of Duty franchise. Having the chance to destroy a vehicle with ease alongside firing a rocket into a busy area of the map opens the door for plenty of chances to deal huge amounts of damage over the course of a match.

Make the most of your limited ammo if you want the Pila to have the biggest impact it can in each match. Pila is a portable infrared surface-to-air missile with a free-fire option. Self-propelled missiles have a higher speed and a moderate explosive yield.

Overview

In Call of Duty, players’ choice of secondary weapons as part of a loadout can occasionally be just as important as their primary weapon. Depending on their preferred playing style, some players prefer to employ a pistol, while others want to take advantage of the best Modern Warfare 2 loadout that has a launcher like PILA included in it.

The Pila’s lock-on feature can prove to be a true danger to enemy vehicles and will single-handedly shut down killstreaks that are harassing your team. Even without the lock-on, though, the Pila’s scope and explosive ordinance cause some real damage and disruption to the opposing team from quite a distance away. When using the Pila launcher, try not to fire haphazardly.

  • Since PILA is a rocket launcher, it is best considered as a long-range weapon rather than a close-range weapon. It is highly recommended not to use it for close combat as it will only bring out the worst outcomes.
  • PILA can be a very powerful weapon if used the right way and is a great long-range weapon. This rocket launcher has a dual-function targeting system, which can also be fired without locking onto the target. This can be used against infantry targets or when taking down Killstreak vehicles and installments. It can be launched straight at the target where you aim, causing a great deal of damage.

Design

The Design of PILA is based on The LRAC F1, officially called Lance-Roquettes AntiChar de 89 mm modèle F1 (89 mm anti-tank rocket launcher model F1) is a French reusable rocket launcher developed by Luchaire Défense SA, and manufactured in cooperation with Manufacture Nationale d’Armes de Saint-Étienne and was, in the 1970s, marketed by Hotchkiss-Brandt. Through the use of fiberglass and plastic in the launcher it is over 2 kg lighter when loaded than the M20A1, while having a greater effective range.

Stats

The PILA launcher has a great deal of damage and accuracy. It also has a great range and can eliminate targets from far off. Although being a launcher, it does not have a great fire rate, which is not a big deal considering it is a rocket launcher.

Damage

PILA deals with great damage and has the ability to wipe out squads and their vehicles. It can be used as a lock on target weapon and also a free fire weapon, so it is your choice how you want to create havoc with this brutal machine.

Fire Rate

Rocket launchers mostly do not have a great rate of fire. Due to a single rocket per clip and only one rocket in your mag, it does not have a fast fire rate. But with good precision, you may only need to fire it once anyway.

Accuracy

The Pila’s lock-on feature can prove a true menace to enemy vehicles and will handily shut down killstreaks that are harassing your team. Even without the lock-on, though, the Pila’s scope and explosive ordinance cause some real damage and disruption to the opposing team from quite a distance away. When using the Pila launcher, try not to fire haphazardly. Make the most of your limited ammo if you want the Pila to have the biggest impact it can in each match.

Recoil

Generally, launchers do not have a lot of recoil as they are only required to fire once. So is the case with the PILA launcher. It is a one-time-firing weapon with low to almost no recoil.

Magazine

The ammo of the Pila launcher is extremely limited as it only has a single rocket per clip and only one rocket in reserve. It does not have a large mag, so be careful when you use the only one you have!

Your weapon can be made more maneuverable and effective with the aid of attachments. The PILA launcher in the Modern Warfare 2 beta does not currently have any attachments that can be manually fitted or unlocked. However, you are still free to develop your own unique playstyle thanks to a selection of perks and accessories that work best with the Pila Launcher.

Perks for PILA Launcher

Perks are typically inactive status effects that enable you to change how your gaming unfolds. These advantages change both your loadout carrying capacity and your gun’s in-game capabilities. Perks offer your gun an added advantage.

  • Scavenger: Balance out your extremely limited ammo supply by being able to restock on dead enemies. Use your main weapon to take foes down and recover ammunition for use with the Pila.
  • Hardline: Rack up killstreaks quicker and focus on defeating your opponents with overwhelming firepower. Hardline will give you an edge on your opponents as long as you can stay alive long enough to activate your killstreaks.

  • Ultimate: Bird’s Eye

Tactical Equipment for PILA Launcher

  • Medical Syringe: Staying alive long enough to reach your higher killstreaks can be a daunting task, but the on-demand healing provided by the Medical Syringe makes it that much easier.
  • Molotov Cocktail: Double down on explosive power and disrupt bunched-up enemy squads with the Molotov. This flaming projectile will deal heavy damage and soften enemies up for the kill, perfect at closer ranges and when the Pila’s ammo is in short supply.

Alternative for PILA Launcher

If you think the PILA launcher does not quite work for you, then there is another alternative for you to try out, such as the JOKR Launcher. This launcher fits the properties that are relative to the PILA launcher in Modern Warfare 2, with reliable accuracy as well as damage. The JOKR stands alongside the PILA launcher as surprisingly accurate rocket launchers that can lay waste to anything they target. JOKR is a good alternative choice for someone opting for a launcher other than the PILA launcher.
